How to make rosemary tea

Not sure what to do with the fresh rosemary you have on hand? Tea is the perfect use! All you need is rosemary and boiling water. Then to balance the piney flavor, add a hint of fresh lemon juice and a little sweetener. We used honey but you can use agave syrup for a vegan tea. It’s got a wintery vibe in its flavor, but it’s also great in the summer when herbs are at their best. Here’s how to make rosemary tea:

  1. Boil:Boil a pot of water. We use an electric tea kettle (that we also use for ourmorning coffee).
  2. Harvest herbs:Add 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary.
  3. Steep:Fill up a mug with the boiling water. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Add sweetener & lemon: Add a hint of honey (or agave) and squeeze lemon juice from 1 wedge lemon. This step is required to get the best flavor, otherwise the rosemary is too overpowering.
