A teen has donated 80,000 pennies after her father left a pile of coins in front of her house as his final child support payment.
A teen from Virginia told WTVR that she donated her last child support payment from her father which was left outside of her Richmond home in the form of a large pile of coins.
Soon after the report broke out, a lot of people started searching how much is this worth in dollars.

Teen donates pennies dumped by father
Avery Sanford, an 18-year-old teenager from Virginia, has donated 80,000 pennies which were dumped on the front lawn of her Richmond house by her estranged father, WTVR has reported.
According to Avery and as reported by WTVR, the coins arrived on the front lawn of her house last month. The teenager wasn’t home at the time but her mother was and the incident was caught on CCTV footage.
“When I was in the middle of class, my dad came by,” Avery told the publication. “He had rented a trailer. He pulled up in front of the house and turned the trailer on so it dumped out all the pennies on the grass.”
When reached out by WTVR, Avery’s father claimed that his actions “were the result of 18 years of built-up frustration,” the outlet has further added. He said “the last thing he wanted to do was to put a further wedge between him and his daughter”.

Avery said that she and her mother chose to use the pile of pennies to do something good for their community.
They decided to donate the money to the domestic abuse shelter Safe Harbor, which is based in Richmond, Virginia.
“Turning around and donating that money to moms and children in need, I feel like that really turns this situation into a positive. You can learn from it,” the teen said.

Avery told WTVR that she hasn’t spoken to her father in years. She added that she will spend the summer at home and start university later this year.
Her mother filed a report with Henrico County Police following the incident, the police department told PEOPLE.
Lt. Matthew Pecka said: “Henrico Police documented the incident; however no charges were filed.”
