Gilgamesh became the hero par excellence of the ancient world—an adventurous, brave, but tragic figure symbolizing man's vain but endless drive for fame, glory, and immortality. Rather than being demigods (the children of one divine and one mortal parent), as the Greek heroes often were, Roman heroes were usually regular Romans who showed exemplary bravery, ingenuity, and loyalty. This is not to say that they were real people who actually lived (they likely were not), but they could have been.

Heracles. Not only was he strong enough to hold up the world on his shoulders, he was smart enough to trick Atlas into taking it back. There are a lot of OP heroes around, but Heracles/Hercules has feats that no one else can match. His story is basically a list of OP Feats.
