Title for next book in Sarah J. Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series revealed (2024)
Sarah J. Maas fans, prepare your emotions. After what feels like an eternity, the next installment in her bestsellingA Court of Thorns and Rosesseries is officially on its way – and it has both a title and a release date. (Which is likely sooner than many of us expected.)
The next novel will be titledA Court of Silver Flamesand will hit shelves on January 26, 2021.
It will be the first fullCourt of Thorns and Rosesnovel that willnotfocus on the series’ heroineFeyre or her mate Rhys, but rather shift perspective entirely to tell the story of her sister Nesta, who was turned into a High Fae inA Court of Mist and Fury, and has been adjusting to the changes ever since.
It will also, according to Maas’ Instagram post on the subject, finally focus on her relationship with the illyrian warrior Cassian, which most fans have been clamoring to see more of for years.
Mass’ previous novel in this series,A Court of Frost and Starlight, was released two years ago, and was meant to serve as sort of a bridge between the series’ original Feyre and Rhys-focused trilogy and whatever was meant to come after. Its unclear as yet if the rest of the series – currently slated to be three more books – will focus entirely on Nesta and Cassian or whether subsequent installments will feature other characters. But, sinceA Court of Frost and Starlightalso lets us hear from Mor and Cassian in addition to Nesta, the door to explore other stories does seem open.
I would do pretty much anything for a Mor book, is what I’m saying. She’s an amazing character.
But, for now, we’ll just have to start counting down the days until we can read Nesta and Cassian’s story – and see what comes next for all the residents of Prythian.
Are you looking forward to another installment in theA Court of Thorns andRoses series? What do you think the future holds for Cassian and Nesta?
Maas' next book will be an 'ACOTAR' book. When Maas' publishers at Bloomsbury announced “House of Flame and Shadow” in 2023, it also revealed that the author signed a new four-book deal in addition to three others she already had under contract.
Bloomsbury has today announced the third instalment in international bestseller Sarah J Maas's blockbuster Crescent City series, which will be titled House of Flame and Shadow and will be published on 30th January 2024.
Although she didn't specify which characters from "ACOTAR" the novel she is writing will focus on, Maas previously said in a February 2021 conversation with Eva Chen that she planned to write a novel focused on Elain Archeron, Feyre's older sister, planting seeds for the book in the last installment in the series, "A ...
In March, Sarah J. Maas fans were elated when the fantasy author announced on Instagram that her next book would be released in 2024. To date, Maas has published 15 books. There are five works in the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" series; eight in "Throne of Glass;" and two in "Crescent City."

So, while this is a “Crescent City” book, its protagonist has landed in the “ACOTAR” world — so we'll expect to see how all these characters intertwine. (Particularly how Elain's fated mate shakes out, but that's a much longer story for another day.)
For those that don't know (and don't mind spoilers), the end of Crescent City 2 revealed that the world of Crescent City and ACOTAR are actually connected — the main character of CC actually ends up transporting herself, via a portal, into the world of ACOTAR.
Azriel has a romantic interest in Mor, yet he has never acted upon his feelings. Mor told Feyre that his inhibitions are probably related to the fact that he believes he is not worthy of Mor.
He pulled away reluctantly, not wanting to strain her still healing body or emotions. Aelin wasn't having it though. With her remaining strength, she pulled his lips back to her own with renewed fervor. The kiss skyrocketed in passion, as if Aelin was trying to memorize every single thing about him.
The Court of Thorns and Roses TV show has been canceled at Hulu and won't be picked up by other streamers. Disappointing news for fans as the much-anticipated adaptation won't be happening.

Bloomsbury Publishing has slated the release of seven new Sarah J Maas titles, starting from early this year and a new author named Samantha Shannon, both of which are fantasy authors.
