AngelicaYou know how Tamlin said that being a High Lord comes with physical markers and that's why he couldn't hide what he was becoming from his brothers? well I thought that maybe something like that is happening to Feyre and in that moment Rhysand saw it... I mean that would be interesting

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (5)

Natasha Hodgecan i spoil? I'm going to spoil.

There is no love triangle or pregnancy, there is feminism, Tamlin the Tool, and a mating bond.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (6)

Veraina LivingstonThere is a pin on S. J. Maas's ACOTAR board that has a picture of Elsa (from Frozen) leaning over to kiss the dying of frostbite Hans. Which made me think: Huh that's interesting, if their roles had been reversed and Hans had needed Elsa's true love, he would've used her to save himself... WAIT?!

Did you read that right? Yes. One theory I've read is that Tamlin didn't really love Feyre, he just used her to save his people and his self.

You may be thinking that's ludicrous. But if you think of the situation and the circ*mstances, Tamlin was desperate. He would've done anything to save his people from Amarantha.

So, with that in mind, I'm not opposed to a love triangle with Rhys. If Rhys saw Feyre as his mate, that theory would make it not okay, but better than a random love triangle.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (7)

SarahI instantly thought that he saw that she was his mate but I'm against that idea because I would really prefer to avoid a love triangle. Then I saw that some people thought he saw all 7 powers of the high lords in her (which I think is a cool idea) and then I also saw people saying they thought he was seeing that she's pregnant. I don't mind that idea either but I don't really get how that would shock him the way whatever he saw did.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (8)

Rach0leI know that Maas does the whole love triangle/jumping around love interest in her other books but I honestly do not think that's where this series is headed. It could have been a possibility but at the end she was still pushing pretty hard the Feyre/Tamlin link. I mean he was was sobbing over her body, made her immortal, and kept Feyre's truth as being in love with Tamlin the most.

Also Feyre and Rhys agreement was one week for the rest of her life. Well, she died. That kinda calls into question the whole agreement despite her still having the tattoo. Even if Rhys has a thing for her at this point, I think it's only to add depth to his character and his story/romance that with be told in either book two or three.

Have a feeling book 2 and 3 will feature romances for Lucien and Rhys instead of a continuation of Feyre's story specifically. Just thoughts... But I read a sh*t ton of fantasy romance and romance series in general. I would be shocked... Shocked.. if I am wrong at least about Feyre not being meant for Tamlin. There was no change of heart to set up a confused love triangle. Plus this is a retelling of a fairytale and a pretty common one in fact. The happy ending and end of Amanarantha in this book requires true love between Feyre and Tamlin to break the spell...soooo just saying.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (10)

Isabella BeltranI think either a mating bond or extreme desire for Feyre came between Rhysand and Feyre, or he smelled it on her that she was pregnant with Tamlin's baby (considering they had sex the night before). Although I really hope it's the first thing and not the second because I totally ship Feyre and Rhysand. It's also possible that Feyre was reborn as a high fae of the night court because of her connection to Rhysand and he realized it in that moment. Here's my list about what possibly could've happened:
Feyre’s pregnant with Tamlin’s baby
A mating bond snaps between Rhysand and her
Feyre’s reborn as a high fae of the night court
Feyre’s pregnant with Rhysand’s baby (not likely)
Feyre stole Rhysand’s wings (not likely)
Rhysand realizes he loves Feyre
Rhysand realizes their connection is deeper than just a deal
Rhysand quickly experiences what happened between Tamlin and Feyre the night before through their bond
Rhysand realizes Feyre is thankful for their bond and doesn’t want to get rid of it
Feyre's becoming the high lord of the mountain
Rhysand has all his powers back and his are more about cunning and knowledge he has the power to maybe have visions and he just coincidentally saw one when he looked at her face and it had nothing to do with her
Rhysand had a wet dream about her and when he saw her face, felt guilty ;) (not likely)

A.I am ok with any sort of twist she throws our way as long as it is NOT a love triangle with Rhys. Well, I don't care if he has a crush on her, as long as she doesn't actually get tempted by him, or gods forbid, she's his mate...

I like the idea that she could be all powerful - we are after all expecting an invasion from the King of Hybern at some point so it would be cool if Feyre is now so powerful that she's the only one who could stand up to him (or that she's a key in the war against Hybern). I feel like that is perhaps hinted at in the blurb: "a greater evil looms--and she might be key to stopping it".

A little bit off topic but i saw someone make a comment before about how the love between Tamlin and Feyre is not real because Tamlin doesn't fully love her, he was just desperate to save his people (and himself). And I just want to make a point that I REALLY don't think that's the case - that is something that some people critique the Beauty and the Beast story saying that of course he "loved" her, she had the power to break his curse and turn him back into a human... But don't forget, Beast let Belle go home, knowing that he essentially doomed himself to being a beast forever, BECAUSE he loved Belle... Tamlin sent Feyre away BECAUSE he loved her and he much preferred that she survived than put her life at risk by having her stay 2-3 more days... Sure, at the beginning, it might have been only a matter of trying to woo her because she had the power to break his curse, but I think he truly did fall for her! He said that he had been with many female faes but he felt a connection with Feyre because she knew the weight of having others depend on you. He formed a connection with her...

So I REALLY hope he does truly love her and this is not something that the author is going to work in.. Same with Feyre being Rhys mate -please please please! Let Tamlin and Feyre be end game!!!

I like the other point someone else mentioned of Elain being Rhys' girl (in terms of the Hades and Perspehone retelling)... I think Rhys needs someone especially soft and good and pure (which Feyre isn't!) to temperate him...

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (13)

CynthieI think that Rhysand recognized her as his soulmate or something. That is my best guess. Honestly, I hope that is not true at all... I mean she actually died for Tamlin. Tamlin and Feyre has also gone through so much together. Maybe Feyre had something special, a gift maybe ? Perhaps Rhysand recognised it because of their bond ? Anyway, I'm rooting for Tamlin and Feyre all the way.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (14)

TaraIdk man about the Rhysand seeing their future as lovers theory... my first instinct was that he was scared which i guess could tie in with the whole love thingy like "oh god don't wanna start war with the Spring Court by homewrecking Tamlin's relo" *turns rigid and stumbles*.... the first things that popped into my head was that he saw the growing 'darkness' in her, the guilt of her killing those innocents, I mean, she said herself that she couldn't really SEE the newly exemplified colours that come with her new High-Fae gifts,.. so maybe her inner darkness is almost overshadowing her soul completely or enough that Rhysand is concerned or frightened of it :) I personally would like to avoid this Love triangle cause I totally ship Tamlin and Feyre even though Rhysand is super sexy ;)

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (15)

FabiolaI sure hope its not that she could be his mate! pleas Sara J Mass if you read this do not! take feyra and tamlin away from us!
But if she was his mate or whatever its called wouldn't she feel it too?

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (16)

GreatexpectationsofablackcatSPOILER SPOILER FOR A COURT OF MIST AND FURY

so I'm reading it and I kind of skipped ahead (don't kill me I'm young) and it looks like it was the mating bond. i mean tamlin calls him her mate and there's so much foreshadowing.
I LOVE IT.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (18)

EvaI think that maybe, how in the throne of glass series how Celaena/Aelin had the wyrdmark on her brow, Feyre could have had some strange mark or symbol that developed or showed itself when she became high fae. I don't really know how else to explain Rhys reaction? Anyone wanna build on this idea?

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (19)

AlexisAt first, I thought that he sensed a dark evil power growing in her or something along that line. But I guess it could also be the start of some connection growing between the two on them... (I wouldn't complain if that was the case)

I really hope she's not pregnant with Tamlin's baby. I feel it's too soon for that. Plus that would ruin any chance of a love triangle that Feyra and Rhys may have.

Jessicait was because Rhysand realised that Feyre was his mate..the bond snapped in after she changed into a Fae..maybe it doesn't snap in properly until she turns fae because she was a human...and there is a part where Rhysand said when he came back to the court of dreams the only words he said to morg after not seeing her a long time is.."she's my mate"..

Pen FoxOkay so I've already read the book if you truly want to know.... *SPOILERS AHEAD*
A Court of Mist and Fury is 620-something pages long, and it wasn't until like page 530 that you found out the shocking detail... Rhysand and Feyre are MATES. I had known for a while during the book that Tamlin and Feyre were doomed, and foresaw that Feyre was going to fall in love with Rhysand. But honestly, I was surprised when I learned about it. Nearly fell out of my chair. Sarah J. Maas really knows how to surprise a reader.

reylaI think well I believe Rhysand figured out that she is his MATE.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (37)

Novelist DienneI really hope that he see's her as his mate. This may be a cliche but let's be honest Feyre of fell in love with Tamlin quickly. Once that PTSD kicks, Tamlin (like ACOTAR) avoid it and remains in a paralyzed state while Rhysand on the other hand (just like in ACOTAR) faces the problem head on.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (38)

Evellyn SantosI think Rhys saw her as his partner.
Although Sarah might have done this to just fool us. but we can not forget that she has no problem in changing the romantic interest of the protagonist. Celaena is a clear example of this.
I also believe that the love of Taelim for it to be real even not understanding of where did all this love of both. I think Sarah should have better developed that part.
I'm totally TeamRhys but being partners or not, I'm sure their relationship will give us a good time.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (39)

Dr.ShadowHallowsPerhaps he saw a terrible truth that has yet to come. Idk yet but I hope its something gobsmacking. Maybe there will be a plot twist. This is the second book and most of us know what happened in the second book of the Throne of Glass series. So...

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (41)

Hailey LindgrenI REALLy hope there is NOT a love triangle because that is the most overused plot line in literature. It would be far more interesting for Rhys to have some kind of personal or fae struggle that only Feyre can help with. Or maybe, there was a past love of Rhys' that has caused him to become so dark and she is somehow connected to that other, powerful Fae court and can be rescued/found by Feyre. Also, how in the world would it be believable if, as Sophie put it, "Snap! All is forgiven" by Rhys when he put a fairy's head on a spike? There needs to be character development and progression in Rhys...but don't get me wrong, I do LOVE him!
After what Feyre went through (those horrendous trials let alone the conditions she was put to endure) all for Tamlin; it would be very hard to believe that all of a sudden that crazy whirl of a romance changed.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (42)

KarinaWell, I saw something on Tumblr and there was a quote from the UK edition that something like 'a new war, she will be the key or weapon'. I think she is something very magical like the chosen one. And the symbol he saw was a clue letting him know and he was shocked.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (43)

KclaarI think he either a) could see or sense the guilt and darkness in her from murdering the faeries or b) realized she was his mate?

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (44)

Carina RosasWell, I dont know if he saw that she was pregnant, of that she was her mate, of that she was very powerful. But I think that she will share some time with him, and now that she is a fairy she might change her feelings, like, as a human she loved Tam but maybe now that she is a fairy she might find in Rhys what she needs. I mean she couldn't share anything with Tam even after they made love, and with Rhys she opened a little and shared some thoughts before he left.

THE BIGGEST ISSUE HERE IS: WHAT DID... — A Court of... Q&A (46)

Lily Rosewhen i first read it i thought it was just because he read on her face that she genuinely empathized with him (like everyone treats him like butts and he kind of is a butt but she was like man i get chu even tho u kinda suck) but i guess maybe that wouldn't work since they share a connection through the tattoo and cuz of that he possibly already knows what emotions are going through her head and maybe its something else entirely

Brynn NguyenI think that it is because Rhys see's her face and knows that he's falling for her and decides that he should leave knowing that she is with Tamlin. Rhys didn't want to cause problems and make enemies. But I can't say he'll hold back his emotions at all at the night court.
