Unlike her teacher Albedo, Sucrose has no interest in using her skills to create new life. Instead, she lives more in the present, focusing her efforts on modifying what's already around her. Although far from her ultimate ambition, she's already achieved life-changing results in her field, including increasing the shelf life of the Sunsettia fruit found around Teyvat by one whole month, and increasing the nectar output of Sweet Flowers by 70%.

Out on the battlefield, Sucrose surprisingly uses her knowledge of the sciences to conjure up ways to take life by birthing elemental lifeforms to create winds. Whether her Vision of Anemo is manufactured or not is unknown, but regardless of the details, her combat style makes her something akin to a budget Venti- not quite an S-rank on the Tier List, but a character with a similar playstyle.

Sucrose is a 4-star character that gets a decent amount of rate-ups in the character banners.

Combat Details

Though she can deal some decent damage, Sucrose excels as a Support character. Nothing she does will heal the team, but like a fair few other Anemo adventurers, she's great at interrupting and displacing smaller enemies, pulling them into the range of her winds, and keeping them there long enough for other characters to bully.

As her Talents and Constellations begin to unlock, her Support mechanics really begin to shine. Cooldown reduction kicks in through Talents, while at her First Ascension Passive, she'll increase the Elemental Mastery of any Element she Swirls with her moves. At later ranks, she begins boosting the same stat of the entire team by a flat 20% of her own. She's all about setting up the team for massive damage.

Sucrose's Talents and Skill Priorities

Sucrose's traditional role in the party is to group enemies in one place and let the other DPS clear them out for a fast clear. However, a taser comp for Sucrose also exists, which is more advanced. Similar to Kaedehara Kazuha and Venti, you'd want to keep her talent levels at 1, as increasing them wouldn't do much difference especially because you'd want to build Sucrose with Elemental Mastery artifacts.

TypeNameEffect
Normal AttackWind Spirit CreationNormal Attack

Performs up to 4 attacks using Wind Spirits, dealingAnemoDMG.

Charged Attack

Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and deals AoEAnemoDMG after a short casting time.

Plunging Attack

Calling upon the power of her Wind Spirits, Sucrose plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all enemies in her path. Deals AoEAnemoDMG upon impact with the ground.

Elemental SkillAstable Anemohypostasis Creation - 6308Creates a small Wind Spirit that dealsAnemoDMG to enemies in an AoE, pulling them towards the location of the Wind Spirit before launching them.
Elemental BurstForbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type IISucrose hurls an unstable concoction that creates a Large Wind Spirit. While it persists, the Large Wind Spirit will continuously pull and launch nearby enemies, dealing AoEAnemoDMG.

Elemental Absorption

If the Wind Spirit comes into contact withHydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electroelements, it will deal additional DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.

First Ascension PassiveCatalyst ConversionWhen Sucrose triggers a Swirl effect, characters in the party with the matching element have their Elemental Mastery increased by 50 for 8s.
Fourth Ascension PassiveMollis FavoniusWhen Astable Anemohypostatis Creation - 6308 or Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II hit an enemy, increases other party member's Elemental Mastery based on 20% of Sucrose's Elemental Mastery for 8s.
Passive TalentAstable InventionWhen Sucrose crafts Character and Weapon Enhancement Materials, she has a 10% to obtain double the product.

Sucrose's Constellations

Sucrose's C1 is almost a necessity as the advantage it brings is very huge. C4 is the next one to provide another boost, but it's not as huge as C1. C6 unfortunately isn't that good of a constellation as it only buffs the element during the duration of the elemental burst and the buff doesn't persist out of that.

Constellation NameIn-Game Description
Clustered Vacuum Field (C1)Astable Anemohypostasis Creation - 6308 gains 1 additional charge.
Beth: Unbound Form (C2)The duration of Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II is increased by 2s.
Flawless Alchemistress (C3)Increases the Level of Astable Anemohypostasis Creation - 6308 by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Alchemania (C4)Every 7 Normal and Charged Attacks, Sucrose will reduce the CD of Astable Anemohypostasis Creation - 6308 by 1-7s.
Caution: Standard Flask (C5)Increase the Level of Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Chaotic Entropy (C6)If Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II triggers an Elemental Absorption, all party members gain a 20% Elemental DMG Bonus for the corresponding absorbed element during its duration.

Earlier, we've established the fact that you'd want to build Sucrose with full elemental mastery in mind. However, we didn't discuss why you shouldn't upgrade any of her talents. This is due to those talents mainly scaling off of ATK and not Elemental Mastery. That being said, the things important for Sucrose are elemental mastery and her level, as character level is included in the damage formula for transformative reaction damage.

Best Weapons for Sucrose

Sucrose has quite a bit of weapon choices. But here are the ones that really matter. Sacrificial Fragments and Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers are both really good options for a supportive build. Magic Guide is a great weapon for the taser comp we were talking about. This team composition takes advantage of Sucrose's great ability to raise elemental mastery as most of the damage from this composition is from elemental reactions.

The team composition also uses Fischl/Raiden and Xingqiu, which as you can see, makes Magic Guide the perfect weapon for the job.

Weapon NameIn-Game Description
Sacrificial FragmentsAfter dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every30s.
Magic GuideIncreases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Electro by12%.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon SlayersWhen switching characters, the new character taking the field has their ATK increased by24% for 10s. This effect can only occur once every 20s.

Best Artifacts for Sucrose

There's only one artifact meant for Sucrose, the Viridescent Venerer. For main stats, like mentioned above, go for full Elemental Mastery on Sands, Goblet, and Circlet.

Artifact NameIn-Game Description
Viridescent Venerer
  • 2-piece effect: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%
  • 4-piece effect: IncreasesSwirlDMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.
