SOLVED: True Tone vs. Auto-Brightness - iPhone XS (2024)

So I’m getting ready to replace my iPhone XS screen (with iFixIt’s aftermarket OLED screen) and I was just wondering; I know TrueTone is disabled after screen replacement, but does that mean standard auto-brightness will be disabled as well?

From my understanding they both rely on the phone’s ambient light sensor, but TrueTone takes both brightness and ambient light color into account, while auto-brightness just adjusts the overall brightness for changing light conditions… so will standard auto-brightness still work after screen replacement?

Thanks!
