Supermarkets across the UK have issued updates to customers regarding paying with cash in stores.

Paying by card or contactless has become the norm since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, with many wanting to avoid handling cash which could pass the virus from person to person.

A recent Which? study has found that a third of British consumers have stopped paying in cash for a service since last March.

As the pandemic continues, supermarkets have issued updates to customers and changed the rules on paying for goods in stores, reports BirminghamLive.
