RTC’s Never Stop Blogging Roundup: 10 Articles on Investing, Blogging, and Goal-setting

I’ve seen many bloggers come and go during my time as a blogger. So I created the RTC Roundup to encourage bloggers to never stop blogging.

Upon a review of the 2,500+ comments published on the RTC blog, I noticed that most of the early commenters have stopped blogging.

This realization ultimately led to publishing September’s Bloggers I’m Appreciating This Month segment. I want bloggers to never stop blogging! And I wanted to publish it as a recurring segment to feature bloggers in the FI, PF, and blogging communities.

Unfortunately I haven’t kept up with the commitment to publish the segment monthly, as the last one was published in September. But it’s a new year with new blogging goals

In turn, I present you with a roundup:

20 Investment Ideas for 2020 and Beyond – Dividends Diversify

Of course, I have to start with this article because RTC was featured in it. That’s just the truth. I’m really grateful to Tom from Dividends Diversify for including me.

In case you missed the post, visit here: 20 Investment Ideas for 2020 and Beyond.

This article is a great way to begin the year if you’re looking for a place to invest your money. Tom asked a panel of 20 different investors what their favourite dividend paying stock pick is for 2020 and beyond. The results were interesting. I would definitely recommend checking the article out.

I would also recommend checking out Dividends Diversify on a regular basis for investment ideas and to learn more about investing.

Blogging Income Report – How I Made $7,000+ From Blogging in 2019 – This Online World

Since I started blogging, one of my main goals has always been to provide a transparent, honest look at the realities ofcreating a money making blog. – Tom from This Online World

This Online World has quickly become one of my favourite websites to learn more about blogging and earning income online.

The author, Tom, managed to grow his blog’s income to over $7,000 annually in just 2 short years. I really enjoy Tom’s blog income reports because he is very transparent with the numbers. The reports are very detailed and filled with helpful tips.

One Year of Blogging: All The Stats – Eat Sleep Breath FI

Another blog I have been enjoying is Eat Sleep Breathe FI.

It is actually surprising that ESB FI has only been around for one year. For some reason it feels like much longer.

Maybe it seems like longer because ESB FI’s blog is elegant looking with well-branded colours. Perhaps it’s because the posts are helpful and well-written.

Whatever the reason is, I would encourage you to check out the latest post from Chrissy, the author of ESB FI. She is another blogger that is transparent with her blog’s numbers. Her most recent report covers the blog’s performance over the first year.

Check it out here: One Year of Blogging: All The Stats

Here’s a spoiler: ESB FI is doing amazing in its first year…

2020 Financial Goals – My Own Advisor

I figure if you never have an end in mind you’ll never get to where you want to be. -Mark from My Own Advisor

It has been an honour to have been mentioned in several posts on My Own Advisor.

This site has definitely become a go-to over the past year for Canadian investment advice.

Mark, the author, was also featured in the 20 Investment Ideas for 2020 post on Dividends Diversify.

His weekend roundups are legendary and always gives me something to read when the rest of the internet stops posting.

20 Goals for 2020 – Handful of Thoughts

Although I only found Handful of Thoughts recently, I’m certainly glad I did.

I knew right away it was the type of content I enjoy as soon as I read “20 Goals for 2020” on the first page of the blog.

I mean, goal-setting…

Say no more.

I look forward to reading from Handful of Thoughts this year.

Increasing Your Flexibility and Income with Freelance Work – The Fioneers

If you’re looking for more information on Slow FI, part-time work, and flexible lifestyle options, The Fioneers is a fantastic place to start.

I have really been enjoying The Fioneer’s blog over the past 6 months because of how relatable it is to my current situation. They have a lot of interesting interviews and original concepts around Slow FI.

In addition, they have a really cool Newsletter about Slow FI that I’d recommend you sign up for if you are interested in the concept. They feature some of the best content online and send it right to your inbox.

RTC was fortunate enough to be featured recently. I’m super grateful for the feature!

8 Months To Retirement: Shifting My Mindset to “This Is The Last Time” – A Purple Life

8 months represents almost 75% of a year passing and that seems like a substantial amount of time.So I’m dealing with a weird time paradox and have been trying to combat it by shifting my mindset to “this is the last time.” – A Purple Life

When it comes to branding and creativity, I have to admit that A Purple Life is one of my favourite blogs ever. The blog’s styling, photography, and clever marketing is standout.

But what puts APL over the top, in my humble opinion, is the storytelling.

This is ultimately why I’m enjoying APL’s countdown to early retirement so much. APL has been posting monthly updates to document and discuss the mood as early retirement nears. I am so excited to see APL’s journey come to fruition. To be honest, these updates remind me of of my mini-retirement updates but in reverse.

Monthly Dividend Income (Dec. 2019) – Engineering Dividends

Of course, I’m a dividend growth investor, so it’s only right to feature at least one article about dividend income. So for the 2nd time, I decided to feature Engineering Dividends.

Frankly, you’d have a hard time finding a better dividend income blog than Engineering Dividends. He recently achieved his goal to earn $10,000 from dividends in one year, and his reports are extremely detailed. My favourite part of ED’s dividend income updates is how he breaks down and compares dividend growth through savings, dividend reinvestment, and dividend raises.

I would definitely recommend Engineering Dividends to see Dividend Growth Investing at its best in action.

Here is ED’s latest dividend income update: Monthly Dividend Income (Dec. 2019)

Week in Review 2/20 – Dividend Hawk

Dividend Hawk offers the best weekly recap post on dividend investing in the game, straight up.

For years, I have counted on DH’s weekly recaps and have looked forward to sharing them with my own followers.

In the weekly recaps, Dividend Hawk discusses dividend income, dividend raises, recent buys, and shares articles that caught DH’s attention. It’s a great blog for stock ideas and to see DGI in action.

Dividend Champions List for 2020 – Dividend Growth Investor

Adividend championis a company which has a 25 year record of annual dividend increases. There are only 134 such companies in the US today. – Dividend Growth Investor

The first two dividend blogs that caught my attention were Dividend Growth Investor and Dividend Mantra.

I used to read these blogs on the bus on my way to work at the stock brokerage. Both sites would cause me to day dream about funding my life with dividends.

Overall, I’d say that Dividend Growth Investor is one of the most detailed, technical dividend blogs that exists.

DGI offers extremely detailed analyses of dividend growth stocks, practical examples, and opinions on dividend investing. It’s a very thorough dividend investing blog indeed.
