Mitosis is an equational division. It occurs in the somatic cells. It creates two identical daughter cells from one mother cell. Cell must have nucleus to undergo mitosis. A fertilized egg undergoes number of mitotic division to form zygote. In plants, mitosis occurs in the meristematic cells, that is root apex, shoot apex, vascular cambium (increases diameter of roots and stems), cork cambium (produces new bark cells). Vascular cambium and cork cambium are examples of lateral meristem. Mitosis does not occur in bacterial cell as bacterial cell does not have a nucleus.

So, the correct answer is 'Bacterial cell'

b) cell division does not require metabolic activitactivity
c) energy required for mitosis is produced and stored in the cell during interphase
