EHS has partnered with UniFirst Corporation to provide lab coats at no cost to research lab staff, teaching lab staff, and departments. The vendor will supply three types of lab coats (general purpose, fluid-resistant and flame-resistant) and will launder, repair, and replace the coats as needed. The type of coat issuedwill depend on a hazard assessment by EHS staff. Lab coats are unisex in sizing, ranging from Small (size 30) to 4XLarge (size 60).

How the program works:
- Obtain a lab coat from EHS staff at 72Onyx Bridge. Please fill out the sign in-sign out sheet letting us know the lab/department you are associated and the type/size of coat you are borrowing. Please Do Not mark or deface the lab coats in any way.
- When your coat is in need of washing, drop it off at 72 Onyx during business hours and pick up a replacement coat. We encourage you to drop off your coat as soon as it becomes even slightly soiled. This commercial cleaning service, funded through the university, is at no cost to your lab or department.
- Coat distribution is monitored for inventory purposes only. After initial offering, you must turn in your dirty coatin order to receive a clean new one.
- Please return your lab coat to EHS when you leave the UO.
- Graduate Student Teaching Labs: please return lab coats at the end of each term.
- Personal coats will no longer be laundered by EHS. If you have personal coats still in good condition you may store them in the lab as backup, surplus, or donate them.
