Dried flowers are the lazy person’s solution to decorating. Simply leave a fresh bouquet in a vase for a couple weeks longer than you should and voila, you’ve got a pretty bunch of blooms that’ll liven up your abode for weeks to come. (Alternatively do as the pros suggest and hang a bunch upside down in a cool, dark room for a few weeks – this holds the colour better.) The best part of having dried flowers on hand is that you can repurpose them for any upcoming gifts. As Julie from Clever Poppy reminds us, a little bouquet goes a long way when you’re gift wrapping. Just trim your dried flower stems, tie them up in a little bunch and fasten them to your present with some twine. For a more detailed how-to, head to Clever Poppy’s post.
