How much wax to use for one candle is depending on the volume of the candle container. We have made a small guide for you that should help you measure the right amount of wax.

If you are using our kit we recommend using 1,5 bags of wax or measure 12 oz of wax for 3 candles - one candle of each size (8 oz, 6 oz and 4 oz).

However, if you want to experiment with only one candle at the time or different sized candle jars we are ready to guide you through that as well.

To find how much wax you will need, multiply the number of candles you are making by the amount of wax it will hold, and then divide that by 20. For example, if you want to make 30 - 8 ounce candles the math would be as follows: 30 (containers) x 8 (oz per container) = 240 total ounces / 20 = 12 lbs wax needed.

To work out the amount of wax you need for your container, simply fill your container with water and pour into a measuring jug. Measure the amount of water the container holds in ml's. Minus 20% off this amount, this leaves you with roughly the amount of wax your container holds in grams.

A: The industry standard is considered 0.5 ounce of fragrance per pound of wax. For double-scenting, you would use 1 ounce of fragrance per pound of wax. For triple-scenting your candles you can use 1.5 ounces of fragrance per pound of wax. Make sure to confirm the wax you are using will hold that much fragrance.
