How I'm Losing Weight and Saving Money (2024)

So my goal for this year is to get in shape, just like everyone else. One of the ways I am going to actually stick to this goal and see it to the end is by losing weight and saving money all at the same time!

I get bored very easily with my workouts so I knew that I didn’t want to pay for fitness classes or DVDs that I would just do for a month and then lose momentum. I needed something that would keep me engaged and actually make me want to workout!

I love being able to workout at home. Not only does it save me money from having to pay a monthly gym membership fee which can easily be $20 a month, usually more, but it also saves me money on the gas it would take to drive there.

I am a super busy mom so by the time I actually get to the gym, I could have already finished my workout at home. Time is precious to me, especially when I have a 3 year old to take care of all day.

I need to easily be able to fit in a workout during quiet time or nap time.

I found Beachbody on Demand and it has been life changing! They have so many workout programs to watch, over 400 workouts!

One of the problems I face is that I get tired of doing the same workout programs over and over again. I do good sticking to something for a month and then I am ready to move on to something else.

I got tired of purchasing workout DVDs that I only used for a month and then never did again. It was a big waste of money.

With Beachbody on Demand, I don’t have to worry about keeping up with DVDs and once I finish a workout system, I can move on to the next one. There are so many to choose from that I won’t get bored!

I purchased the Premium Access Pass for 12 months. It comes out to $8.33/month which is a lot cheaper then any gym membership I have seen. They are offering this price through Feb. 2017.

What I Love About It

The best perk about the Premium Access Pass is that you get to watch ALL of the Beachbody workout series. They have Focus T25, 21 Day Fix, Cize, P90X, Core de Force, PiYo, and so many more.

Plus, you will get access to any new workout systems that they will release in the future! These programs easily cost $60 each but you get access to all of them!

Each program even comes with a workout calendar so you know which workouts to do when to get the maximum results. You also get nutrition guides to help keep you on track.

I also love the fact that I can stream these workouts anywhere 24/7. I can watch them on my phone, laptop, tablet, and TV.

I have an Amazon Fire TV stick and it was really easy to download the app and set up my account so that I can watch all of the workouts on my TV.

I really like that they offer workouts for every type: cardio, dance, yoga, muscle building and that they offer workouts for every level: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

Where I’m Starting

Now I am a beginner because I haven’t worked out in a while. My main goal is to just get in better shape and not lose a ton of weight. I am going to share my starting off measurements with you so that you can see my results.

  • Pounds: 150 lbs.
  • Hips: 39″
  • Waist: 33″
  • Thighs: 22″

I am planning on doing some reviews about each of the workout programs I am going to be doing. This way you can see what my starting point is and how each workout system has helped me.

I will be posting before and after photos for each workout system as well.

There are so many workout systems that I want to do in Beachbody on Demand that is was hard to narrow it down. I love to dance so I am going to be starting with Hip Hop Abs, it is a beginner/intermediate level.

I have already done the first workout and it is so much fun! It really doesn’t feel like I’m working out, I’m dancing! This is definitely one that I can stick with.

If you want to get fit, lose weight and save money, I highly recommend Beachbody on Demand. You can go ahead and get the special New Year’s pricing or you can sign up for a free 30 day trial to see if it is something that will work for you.

Let me know if you decide to do the trial or make a purchase. I would love to keep each other motivated!
