How to upgrade spirit summons in Elden Ring. To unlock upgrades for your best Elden Ring summons, you need to find Roderika at Stormhill Shack by Stormveil Castle; she'll also give you a Jellyfish summon as a gift for helping her.

Like Grave Glovewort, there are nine different levels of Ghost Glovewort as well as the Great Ghost Glovewort that can be used to fully upgrade Renowned Spirit Ashes to +10.

At this point, you can bolster the abilities of all the Spirit Ashes you find by giving her Ghost Glovewort - or Grave Glovewort depending on the Spirit Ash, similar to increasing weapons with either Smithing Stones, or Somber Smithing Stones.

1 Mimic Tear

This Spirit Ash is the tankiest, the highest damaging, the smartest, and the most versatile summon, hands down. It's not as good as it originally was when Elden Ring first launched, but the Mimic Tear is still the summon players should use if they want to experience Elden Ring on 'easy mode'.

Powerful summons like Skeletal Militiaman and Ancestral Follower are key allies for creating opportunities in challenging battles. Mimic Tear stands out as the most powerful summon, replicating your character's gear and skills to dominate foes late in the game.

However, special summons require Ghost Glovewort, and to make things more difficult you need Great Ghost Glovewort to level your Spirit Ash to +10, of which there are only four in Elden Ring. Luckily for you, this is a list of all of the Great Ghost Glovewort in Elden Ring and how to get them.

But to make the most of these spectral allies, you'll need to upgrade Spirit Ashes using Grave Gloveworts or Ghost Gloveworts. Both plants are a rare resource that doesn't respawn, meaning tracking them down can be tricky.

For the Ghost Glovewort Picker's Bell Bearing [3], you'll need access to one of the late-game areas, Haligtree. You'll need both halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion and used the Lift of Rold to then go through the Consecrated Snowfield to get here.
