Financial Status Investigations (Pre-Litigation & Pre-Sue) - Vilcol (2024)

Financial Enquiries

If you're seeking help on people tracing or background checks for financial reasons, we can help.

We are one of the UK’s leading tracing agents with expertise in debtor tracing, debt recovery, process serving (handing over a legal notice or court order), employment tracing, probate tracing, international people tracing and private investigations.

Financial Enquires are of a threefold nature.

Credit Check - If you have been approached to supply credit facilities or funds to an individual or a company Vilcol will supply you with the information and an opinion as to whether the applicant is credit worthy.

Pre Legal Report – If you are looking to take legal action to recover a debt this can be very expensive especially if the claim is defended. Our legal reports, Standard and Full Pre-Litigation, will provide you with the necessary information to assess whether or not the debtor has the funds and assets to repay you. You will then be able to make an informed decision as to the cost effectiveness of taking legal action.

Post Legal Report – Any of the three reports can be used depending on your requirements. This service is recommended if you already have Judgement or are looking to enforce a court order. Bailiffs/ Sheriffs will charge you for attending an address only to establish that the defendant has no means to repay the Judgement amount. Find out first before being liable for Bailiffs/ Sheriffs costs.

It is not unknown that County Court Judgments (CCJ), Insolvency Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) and Bankruptcy to be linked with previous addresses. If this information is critical to you then we recommend either the Standard or In-Depth search.

If you are unsure that the subject of your enquiry is still resident or operating from the last known trading address please select from the drop down box at the top of the Instruction Form the service that you require which includes “+ Trace”. You will only be charged for the Trace if the subject of your enquiry has moved and we have located their new address.
