What to do with Discarded Palace Key Elden Ring? ›

Discarded Palace Key can be used to opens a treasure chest passed down to Carian Princesses. Specifically, the small chest next to Rennala in Raya Lucaria Academy. Inside the chest is the Dark Moon Ring.

Head to Renna's Rise and go through the portal. Collect the Miniature Ranni Doll and talk to it at a Grace until it speaks. Defeat the shade of Blaidd near Lake of Rot to get the key. Head to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library to open the chest and get the ring.

Best the Baleful Shadow and Ranni will grant you the Discarded Palace Key as a reward. She'll then tell you that she's heading off to complete her quest, and thanks you for your service. We're not quite done, however, as the key can be used to unlock another ending to the game.

Key Items are unique and special items that are central to the story in Elden Ring, and often heavily used in progression or needed to unlock certain areas, utlize mechanics like the Flask of Wondrous Physick, and can take the form of keys, recipe books, maps, or other items that cannot be discarded.

Miniature Ranni can be found within a coffin near the river behind the Ainsel River Main Site of Grace. If Tarnished fail to check behind them before leaving for Nokstella, they might miss this quest item.

Visit Kalé and ask him about the howling. He'll tell you a little bit about Blaidd and teaches you the Finger Snapping gesture which is required to get Blaidd's attention. Return to the Mistwood Ruins and use the Finger Snap gesture when you hear the wolf howl. This will summon Blaidd.

The Fingerslayer Blade is required to progress Ranni's questline. Key Items in Elden Ring include a wide variety of items found in specific locations or are given by a related NPCs which are used to unlock areas, quests, and to further progress the game's story.

I'll refrain from revealing anything significant, but be warned that Ranni's quest can affect Elden Ring's ending. Simply completing the quest won't lock you into anything, though.

Interact with her to put the Dark Moon Ring onto her, and a small cutscene will be triggered. Ranni will speak with you, and then vanish. In return for your work, she'll drop the the Dark Moon Greatsword a moment after she leaves. This also marks the end of Ranni's questline!

Once you defeat the Baleful Shadow, you'll get a Discarded Palace Key, which can be used to open the treasure chest in Raya Lucaria's Grand Library to get the Dark Moon Ring. Move on from where you fought the Baleful Shadow and you'll find a lift, which will let you descend to the Lake of Rot.

Where is Blaidd after Ranni? ›

The next few times you encounter Blaidd will be as part of Ranni's storyline. After making it through Caria Manor in northern Liurnia, you'll meet Blaidd again at Ranni's Rise, then again underground in the Siofra River Well, and once more at Redmane Castle when you fight General Radahn.

Effects. Firstly, it dispells the seal found after Astel Naturalborn of the Void that leads to the Moonlight Altar of Liurnia, then it allows the player to marry Ranni below the Cathedral of Manus Celes, unlocking her summon sign after the final boss which triggers the Age of the Stars ending.

I haven't finished this game yet, but, in previous souls titles, you keep your weapons, armor, player levels, spells, great souls and regular souls, and most materials. Really, the only thing you lose are key progression materials such as the medallion halves and keys.

Location Found/Purchased

At the sealed entrance to the Academy of Raya Lucaria, you can find a corpse with a map to the Academy Glintstone Key location. It is found just to the West of the academy among a series of rocky outcroppings, but the key itself is guarded by the fearsome Glintstone Dragon Smarag.

There are a lot of Talismans in Elden Ring. These accessories, once equipped, provide bonuses that can help you throughout the campaign, including increased damage, damage negation, or increased carrying capacity.

After giving Thops the academy Glintstone Key, head to the Schoolhouse Classroom Site of Grace and look outside to find Thops slumped over in a chair. Thops is unfortunately dead, but you can loot his body to get a Bell-Bearing, the Thops' Barrier spell, and a Glintstone Staff.
