Decorated Sugar Cookie FAQ

Do you have decorated sugar cookies readily available in your shop?
We typically have sugar cookies at the shop during the week and weekend closest to holidays (Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas), but they are in limited supply and tend to sell out quickly. If you’re wanting cookies to celebrate, it’s best to call the shop and pre-order. You can also follow our Facebook & Instagram pages for daily posts of what’s in store.

How big are the decorated sugar cookies?
Most cookies are roughly 3” x 3”, but it does vary depending on the shape.

Do you do custom orders?
They’re our favorite! We can create a custom cookie for any event or celebration.

Do you make cookie bouquets?
We do not offer bouquets featuring cookies on sticks. Because our cookies are baked to perfection, leaving them soft and buttery, they tend to not be contained on the sticks. We can, however, offer decorative gift boxes with clear viewing windows for a nice presentation.

Can you put my logo on a cookie?
Yes! Send us an inquiry with you logo and order details, and we’d be happy to put together a quote for you!

How far in advance should I place my order?
Decorated sugar cookies are very labor intensive, and take a minimum of 2-3 days to produce (the icing alone takes 24 hours to dry!), so we require a minimum of 7 days notice, however we are often booked 2-3 weeks out during most of the year, and 3-4 weeks out during the winter holiday season.

How long do the cookies last?
Decorated sugar cookies are best consumed within 2-3 days of pick up. Heat sealed and cello-bagged cookies can last up to 10 days from pick up. If kept longer, the texture will change and icing may discolor.

How should decorated sugar cookies be stored?
Cookies should be store in airtight containers (or wrapping) at room temperature. Moisture and heat or cold is detrimental to the texture of the cookie and the colorfastness of the icing.

Can sugar cookies be frozen?
Yes, very carefully. To freeze the cookies, wrap them individually in freezer bags (if they aren’t already heat sealed or cello bagged), then place them inside an airtight container with lid, and place them in the freezer. When thawing, remove the container from the freezer and thaw at room temperature. Do not open the container until fully thawed. Opening it while the cookies are cold will produce condensation on the cookies and ruin the icing.

Do you offer wholesale for retailers?
Yes - please contact the shop for details about wholesale.
