The film just debuted on Netflix, and fans are already pleading for a third movie. Rightfully so — because what happened in that ending?
After We Collidedfinds Tessa and Hardin broken up, but still kind of seeing each other. It’s complicated. But Tessa’s just started an internship at a publishing company and can’t deal with the distractions. She starts dating a nicer new guy, Trevor (Cole Sprouse), her coworker at the job. Unfortunately, her pesky ex Hardin keeps creeping into her life. Can she get over him, or will the chemistry between them never fade?

Do Tessa and Hardin break up inAfter We Collided?
Well, kind of. They’re “broken up” at the beginning of the film, but can’t stop seeing each other and hooking up. Whether you consider it to be toxic or romantic, Tessa and Hardin eventually start dating again because they’re just too infatuated with one another. But that’s not the end.
Tessa is so distraught by her relationship with Hardin that she ends up being distracted while driving, resulting in a horrible car wreck. Though she ends up safe and unhurt, it’s a bit of a wake-up call for the young woman: is Hardin toxic? They don’t exactly end things by the final scenes of After We Collided— in fact, Hardin gets a new tattoo in honor of his dedication to Tessa — but things are left up in the air.
Does Tessa get married inAfter We Collided?
Nope, Tessa does not get married to Hardin nor Trevor inAfter We Collided. There is a proposal scene, though, in which Hardin watches as he thinks about Tessa. Kimberley, Tessa’s boss, and Christian Vance, the CEO of the company she works at, get engaged.
Who does Tessa end up with inAfter We Collided?
This is also unclear. Trevor is working on asking Tessa to be his girlfriend in a post-credits scene, but Hardin’s still committed to her. But Trevor’s starting to get more involved in the whole ordeal, demanding Hardin stay away from Tessa because he keeps hurting her.
Then, there’s the whole Seattle deal: Tessa’s just been offered a fully-paid trip to Seattle with a new job, housing, all the fixings. Better yet — Trevor’s also been offered the same position. Why wouldn’t she take it? She still has feelings for Hardin. Apparently, she’s just met her biological father, too. In the next film, we’ll probably get to see what decision Tessa makes.
When will the third movie be on Netflix? When willAfter We Fellcome out?
Good news:After We Fellhas just wrapped filming, so hopefully it’s coming soon. If it follows the same release schedule as the most recentAfterflim, expect to see it in theaters and on VOD next October, arriving on Netflix two months after in December. Maybe even earlier, depending on how soon the film is ready to go!
