Purchase Flower Bag From Nook's Cranny
You can purchase the flower's seed bag from Nook's Cranny.
Each Island Has Different Buyable Flower Seeds
Each island sells different flower bags. If your island doesn't sell pansies, you'll be able to visit other players' islands to buy them!
Get Flowers From Your Island
Some islands naturally have pansies from the beginning. They grow on the clifftop so use ladder to get them.
If your island doesn't have pansies, visit other players' islands to get some.

Relatively Easy To Breed Blue and Red & Yellow
By crossbreeding the three basic colors, white, yellow, and red, it is relatively easy to produce the rare blue and red & yellow pansy variants. It's even likely that pansies that naturally grow on your island have gone and inadvertently bred these two rare variants without you noticing it!
Purple Is Harder To Get
In order to produce a purple pansy, you'll have to create a bred red pansy. To do this, you'll need 1 red & 1 blue (which is made by breeding 2 whites). After this, when you have two red (bred) pansies, breeding them together will yield a purple one! This is a pretty rare flower, all things considered.
A Note On Breeding
Flower breeding is a lot more complicated than one might expect, as it seems that flowers have their own individual DNA, which only gets more complicated the more you breed them. There can also be various different ways of getting the same color flower. This means that there is indeed an element of chance involved in the process.
If you use our combinations before and don't get the result you want, try the following:
- Remove the unwanted flower and try again
- Buy new flowers with "fresh" DNA
