The good news is that Airbnb platform has built-in scheduled messaging now! When I first started hosting in 2019, this wasn’t a feature yet. About a year later, this screen for “scheduled messages” became available and I couldn’t wait to set it up.
This allows you to not only create Airbnb message templates that you want to send to guests for certain scenarios but this allows you to set a schedule for the timing of when each specific Airbnb message template is sent out.
The automation is also property specific so you can have different automated messages for each Airbnb property on your account.

Your check-out message is a checkout reminder that is sent the night before your guests are set to vacate the property. This message should remind your guests of the check-out time and should include clear, concise, step-by-step check-out instructions.
This step in the process can be critical to the smooth transition from the current guest to your next guest as it ensures that the guest checks out in time for any cleaning and maintenance that needs to be completed.
While this message can be sent just as checkout instructions, it can also be sent with what would typically be included in a post check out message. If this is the way you chose to go, it is very likely that this will be your last message to your guest. After providing check-out instructions, addressing any issues that may have come up during their stay, and encouraging your guest to be honest with any feedback that they have should be the top priority of this message.
If everything has gone well, and you and your guests are ending the stay on a positive note, this message provides a great time to request a review, thank them again for choosing your vocational rental, and let them know you would love to have them as guests again in the future.
