Is Hoya Macrophylla Rare? Some variegated varieties of Hoya macrophylla, like Hoya macrophylla Albomarginata, can be fairly rare, but you can find the standard non-variegated Hoya macrophylla in many gardening centers or online.
One of the smallest hoyas we grow, H. bilobata has little green leaves often flushed with red. This flowering houseplant has little clusters of reddish-purple flowers on and off throughout the year. Note: It's also sometimes called as Hoya 'Tsangii' or 'DS-70'.
The most common species of the Hoya plant and the one most often seen and grown as a houseplant is Hoya carnosa and Hoya carnosa variegata. The thick waxy leaves of green, are rimmed with red and white.
Hoya lauterbachii is one of the largest Hoyas in existence and is phenomenal in its color, form and fragrance. Each individual bloom measures three inches across, the size of a small coffee cup. The entire cluster has 7-8 individual blossoms measuring close to the size of a soccer ball.
Krohniana is very similar to lacunosa and flowers are very similar. The main difference we see is the leaves are much thicker and show a heavy rib pattern.
Which Hoya has pink leaves?
Hoya Carnosa is also commonly referred to as a wax plant due to its thick, you guessed it, wax-like leaves. A tricolor Hoya Carnosa is recognizable by the color of these waxy leaves. Green, white and pink, this variety of hoya has pink stems that branch out into colorful leaves.
The leaves of Hoya krohniana are thick and very rigid in comparison to the almost pliable foliage of Hoya lacunosa. I do mean almost. When my Hoya lacunosa is ready for a good watering, the leaves will be soft and void of any excess water they've stored up for a not-so-rainy day.
Globulosa and villosa are the same, according to botanists. I know a ton of online forums are full of people saying globulosa is wavier. I wouldn't focus as much on what name the plant is assigned as I would on whether the pictured plant looks like what you want.
Hoya Rotundiflora has a normal growth rate if it is provided with optimum living conditions. They can grow 12 feet long, and if you take further care of them, then they can grow as long as 20 feet in length.

obovata is impossible to resist. The blooms on these beauties hang in clusters as pale-pink stars with purple-red centers.
There are around 900 known species, cultivars, and hybrids of Hoya, so naturally not all Hoyas are created equal and many of them have different traits and care requirements.
