Is it worth it to get Xiao constellation?
Unfortunately for Xiao mains, Xiao's Constellations aren't the best. If you're planning on using Xiao as a main DPS and you've got a ton of extra money to throw at Mihoyo, Constellation 6 Xiao's Anemo abilities are greatly improved. However, wishing for his other Constellations isn't really recommended.
Although potentially expensive, Conqueror of Evil: Guardian Yaksha is the best Constellation to prioritize for Xiao because it allows him to use his dash attack skill, Lemniscatic Wind Cycling, in quick succession up to six times.
Damage per second, not damage per screenshot
Out of all the characters released in Genshin Impact so far, Xiao has the highest base attack at level 90 at 349. With that kind of scaling, he can deal tons of damage without relying on elemental reactions.
Xiao is still perfectly capable of dealing huge chunks of damage to all sorts of bosses, and can effortlessly clear Abyss 12 with the right team. Being Anemo, Xiao is very simple to play, which more casual players would gladly prefer.
C6 Xiao is probably the best DPS in Genshin Impact. As soon as the sixth constellation is unlocked, Xiao can use his skill up to six times in one second, dealing massive damage. However, this effect is unavailable for most bosses or single-enemies, requiring two opponents to trigger.
10 Playing Him Without A Healer
For the duration of his Burst, Xiao constantly loses HP, which means he will soon be on the brink of death. To handle this issue, it is crucial to protect Xiao with a healer. Xiao is best paired with healers that can "follow" him, such as Barbara or Qiqi.
1) Extremely good at C0
Unlike many other five-star characters in Genshin Impact, Xiao unlocks his true potential at C0 itself. His constellations from C1-C5 do not bring any significant changes to his damage output, making the character very F2P friendly.
Lithic Spear
A very strong 4 star option for Xiao provided you meet its conditions. At 4 Liyue teammates, it beats out Deathmatch and a 3 stack Blackcliff Polearm.
It's straightforward, boosting the wielder's critical rate - which is good for Xiao, whose crit rate rises as he levels up - and can boost their attack by 33%.
There are some DPS as well that are categorized as a "Selfish Main DPS" Meaning they are characters who don't do as much damage unless they're stricly on the field or have their burst up. Examples being Razor, Xiao, Childe and Eula.
Is Xiao one of the strongest DPS?
Xiao has since become one of the strongest DPS characters in the game, thanks to his trademark ultimate that lets him decimate enemies with really jacked up plunge attacks.
There's not a real number for how much is good for him, but just try to get as much as possible while keeping his crit rate above ~65%. Crit rate is more important. Try to aim for at least 160%.
Yelan has proven herself to be one of the best sub-DPS characters in the game, while Xiao has an awesome track record as a hypercarry DPS. There can only be one for those who don't want to bore a Chasm-sized hole through their wallets.
Being more than 2,000 years old, Xiao has had the luxury of time and appropriately used that to become one of the strongest Adepti in existence. Out of the five Adepti Rex Lapis appointed to become Yakshas or specialized demon slayers, Xiao is the only one who remains alive or sane. That alone is proof of his power.
11 He Hates Dumplings
While Xiao has a favorite food much like most playable Genshin Impact characters, he also has that one food he loathes. Those would be dumplings of any sort.
There are plenty of characters who work perfectly well with Bennett without caring one way or another about the C6. Popular DPS units like Ganyu, Ayato, Itto, Xiao, and Tartaglia, are all either unaffected by the infusion entirely or override the infusion with their own.
The guaranteed five-star item has a 50 percent chance to be Xiao. If that first pity five-star wasn't Xiao, your next five-star will be. This means, at most, you'll need 180 wishes to get Xiao.
Xiao is a Hypercarry, so the more you can afford to invest in him, the better. We recommend building Xiao at least to the point that his team is able to clear most content in 2-3 Burst rotations.
When Xiao is paired with another Anemo character, his increased energy recharge rate allows him to continuously use his elemental abilities, further increasing his damage output. The best weapon for Xiao is the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear which has a high crit rate and deals bonus damage after every hit.
Xiao has high base attack, and his Elemental Skill and Burst are both focused on dealing damage. You can use his skill to help with exploration, since it covers long distances, but Xiao is best suited for the primary DPS role on your team.
Is Vermillion better for Xiao?
The effect of 4-piece Vermillion Hereafter aligns with Xiao's Elemental Burst where he continuously loses HP in the duration of his Ultimate. As of Genshin Impact 2.6, Vermillion Hereafter is the best Artifact set for Xiao.

PSA #2: Both Xiao's abilities scale off ATK and OH BOY does he scale well.
The Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is Xiao's best weapon. The best Xiao Artifacts in Genshin Impact will either raise his attack or elemental damage stats. It's best to try for the 4-piece Vermillion Hereafter set, but any Artifact that boosts his damage is a good substitute.
