Every Elden Ring Ending Still Makes The Tarnished A Villain Or they can simply restore the old, tumultuous order, changing absolutely nothing. The Tarnished can also help Ranni succeed Marika as ruler in the Age of Stars ending. This is often seen as Elden Ring's “good” ending but isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Effectively, Dung Eater's goal is to ensure that everyone is cursed to unceasing suffering, with him to blame. The most chilling thing about the Dung Eater may be his motives. The Dung Eater commits unsavory acts in Elden Ring's Lands Between, and his only other hobby is relishing in his monstrous actions.
Julianna Swickard of CBR also debated whether Ranni was good or evil, arriving at the conclusion that while she was morally grey as a character, her ending was the "best possible outcome" of all the game's endings.
Fanged Imps can be found lurking around in nearly every Catacomb in Elden Ring, which makes them almost impossible to avoid. And while they have a powerful attack that causes Blood Loss, it's their ability to blend with the environment that makes them one of the most annoying Elden Ring enemies.

Who is the saddest NPC in Elden Ring? One of them has the saddest ending of them all. Elden Ring's The Lands Between is filled with various NPCs - some helpful, others less so - but of all of the various character's fates, none is more tragic than Blaidd's, Ranni the witch's loyal shadow.
The Greater Will
The vessel of the Elden Ring is considered a God, and the God's consort takes the title of Elden Lord. Assuming Elden Lord means "consort to the vessel of the Elden Ring" then we know of two Gods under the Greater Will: Marika and Placidusax's fled God.
The Lord of Frenzied Flame is considered the bad ending of Elden Ring, as it sees you become a destructive dictator, consuming the world in the flame of chaos. To unlock it, you'll need to follow Hyetta's quest all the way to the Three Fingers and become their champion.
Each time tarnished die, they lose a little of their grace/will to live, until they eventually die/decay for good. You can see this happen to Rogier over the course of his questline, and it technically happens to players who quit the game before beating it.
In the Age of the Stars ending, Ranni refers to the Tarnished as her "lord" and her "dear consort", showing that she has not just acknowledged them as being Elden Lord, but also fully acknowledged their own spouse by her side.
Grace is how the Greater Will makes its will known, and the Tarnished needs the help of a Finger Maiden, who serves the Greater Will, to help guide them and turn rune fragments into strength.
Either he began using his powers in ways that didn't serve the people of the Lands Between, or, Queen Marika wanted him gone because he no longer benefitted her reign. Whichever it was, Godfrey is a very important Tarnished in Elden Ring who provides additional context into how the exiles initially began.
Can the tarnished become Elden Lord?
As for the Tarnished themselves, they are taken by Ranni as her consort. This means the Tarnished does not become the Elden Lord like in so many other endings. Under Ranni's rule, there is no Elden Lord. The Tarnished and Ranni rule together, much like Radagon did with Marika (but without being the same person).
When the Elden Ring was shattered, all the slain Tarnished rose from the dead. During the opening cinematic of the game, the dead bodies of the important Tarnished NPCs are shown being revived by the Erdtree's grace.
8 Whether He Really Eats Dung Or Not Is Ambiguous
As always, Elden Ring doesn't provide a straight answer, like most Souls games. It could be that either he or the citizens of the Lands Between came up with the name because that's the aura he projects or wants to, based on his personality.
