How do I switch from veg to flower?
Plants need at least 13 hours of light each day to stay in veg – a few 'long' nights may be enough to trigger budding. Plants begin budding when they get at least 12 hours of 'uninterrupted' darkness each night (12/12). This must continue until harvest.
Outdoor growers rely on the seasons and don't have much control as indoor growers. Autoflowering plants switch to flowering no matter the amount of light they get—such varieties usually flower after 3 to 4 weeks in veg.

Taking the risk of taking the plant from 12 hours to more than 12 hours could cause stress to the plant by generating seeds, thus changing the sex to hermaphrodite or showing other symptoms. Taking the plant from 12 hours to 11 or 10 hours could speed up the flowering process. It is better if this is done gradually.
This usually takes four to eight weeks, depending on how big you want your plant to get.

Shine More Light
The more hours of light, the more trichomes your girls will produce. Ultraviolet light is especially helpful despite the fact that trichomes may block out some UV light. In fact, UV light encourages the plant to produce more trichomes to protect it from UV light.
Cannabis plants need short days (or more specifically long nights) in order to start flowering and make buds. Most indoor growers give their plants 12 hours of darkness and 12 hours of light each day to initiate budding and continue with that 12/12 light schedule until it's time to harvest.
Remove fan leaves only when you feel that they are affecting your plant in a bad way.
