Bloom boosting fertilizers are also suitable for food-bearing plants. Do Micro, Bloom, and Grow all get mixed together throughout all the growth stages, or does Bloom only get used during bloom? Age of plant: “Cuttings” can be switched as soon as desired, however, for optimum yields it is generally best to wait until the clone has a strong root system (typically 2-3 weeks old). For “seedlings”, if space (and time) permit, better yields can be obtained from a 6-8 week veg period.
Flowering cannabis plants need less nitrogen and more potassium to promote the growth of big, resinous flowers. During the first two weeks of flowering, most growers feed their flowering plants with a 5:7:10 fertiliser.
You don't want to use liquid nutrients every time you water—use them every other watering, or two waterings on, one off. It depends on the complexity of your soil and the health of your plants. In optimal conditions, plants should be kept in their vegetative stage for approximately 60 days. This time period should give the plant the opportunity to maximise yield and acclimatise to growing conditions.
Vegetative State Nutrition
During the vegetative stage, the plant will require a base nutrient that is higher in nitrogen and lower in phosphorus and potassium.
As mentioned, indoor photoperiod strains require 18–24 hours of light per dayduring the vegetative phase. The more light exposure a plant receives, the faster it'll grow. Most cultivators vegetate their plants for 4–8 weeks. After this time, a switch to 12 hours of light per day is required to initiate flowering.
Week 5. In week 5 of flowering, you can observe the buds all over your plant becoming thicker. You may also spot new buds growing in new places such as along the main cola. With buds abounding, your cannabis plants will get fatter every day.
