WorldTrips was established as Tokio Marine HCC – Medical Insurance Services (TMHCC-MIS) in 1998 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Since then, they have grown to be one of the largest providers of travel-related insurance products with customers around the globe. The services WorldTrip offers have allowed people to travel worry-free for over 20 years.

Travel Medical Insurance Plan

Atlas Travel Insurance is a great option for travel medical insurance. The plans are flexible, allowing you to decide your policy length, deductible, and coverage limits.

Annual Travel Insurance Plan

WorldTrips offers Atlas MultiTrip Insurance to cover you for all of your planned and last-minute international travel throughout the year with one plan. This is a great option for frequent business or pleasure travelers and those who may need to travel spontaneously to visit family or for other emergency obligations. The plans cover trips of up to 30 or 45 days during a 364-day period with one convenient premium payment.

  • Includes medical coverage for eligible expenses related to COVID-19

International Student Health Insurance Plan

The StudentSecure Insurance plan is a smart choice for students traveling overseas to study for a term or a year. This plan meets J-1 Visa requirements and most other visa requirements your country of choice may require. WorldTrips’ plans also generally meet your college or university plan requirements – meaning you’re free to travel and study abroad!

There are four plan levels for students studying internationally to fit every budget and need:

  • Elite – The Elite plan has an overall maximum benefit of $5,000,000, with $500,000 per incident. The deductible is $25 per injury or illness.
  • Select – The Select plan has an overall maximum benefit of $600,000, with $300,000 per incident. The deductible is $35 per injury or illness.
  • Budget – The Budget plan has an overall maximum benefit of $500,000, with $250,000 per incident. The deductible is $45 per injury or illness.
  • Smart – The Smart plan has an overall maximum benefit of $200,000, with $100,000 per incident. The deductible is $50 per injury or illness.

Trip Protection Insurance

Atlas Journey Trip Protection Insurance is available to residents of the United States for trips they are planning either internationally or domestically. Trip cancellation insurance is important – many unexpected things can happen to postpone or cancel your trip, costing you thousands in lost deposits and trip expenses.

Atlas Journey offers three different levels of trip protection insurance to meet your travel needs – Atlas Journey Premier, Atlas Journey Preferred, and Atlas Journey Economy. If your trip must be canceled due to a covered reason, your expenses will be reimbursed according to your plan level.

Some covered trip cancellation reasons include:

  • Sickness, injury, hospitalization, or death
  • Travel advisories issued for your trip destinations
  • Terrorist incident or civil unrest in your trip destinations
  • Delay or cancellation of the common carrier due to strike, inclement weather, natural disaster, or mechanical breakdown
  • Cancellation of an event prior to scheduled departure

Trip Protection Insurance (After Departure)

Atlas On-The-Go Trip Protection Insurance is there for you while you are traveling. Many things can happen unexpectedly after departure to ruin your vacation. That’s why Atlas On-The-Go trip protection insurance is important.

This coverage is designed for US residents when they travel abroad or domestically. It protects against unexpected illness or injury, trips cut short unexpectedly, and lost or stolen baggage and personal items.

Some highlights of the plan include up to $1,500 per person for trip interruption and up to $200 per day for a travel delay of five hours or more. $500 is also available for baggage delays of 12 hours or longer.

Travel assistance is included with this plan. Travel assistance includes help with emergency assistance, concierge services, medical referrals, interpreter/translation services, and more.
