It was a great read, a real page turner. I had a hard time putting it down. The story line was exciting and disturbing at the same time. I love that this Author writes in settings that take place in my backyard so to speak.
The story made you think... could this be going on in my neighbourhood. The characters, are amazing, a range of emotions for them. There are ones that you like and can relate to and others you hate and hope that bad things will happen to them.

It is a must read!

Wow. This book made me laugh, cry, and rage. It is an emotional read. I couldn't put it down. I would plan to read one chapter, then would look at the clock and see that it was already midnight and I was 6 chapters in. I was totally captivated until the very end. I highly recommend it.

Holy bejesus that book was dark and evoked empathy reactions in me. This book needs to come with a trigger warning because it does not shy away from being perfunctory about the experiences that someone who has been human trafficked for the sex industry will experience.

I ran in to

Blood and Bone another title by this author, and was so struck by it that I sought out this title as it is the only other one she has written, to my understanding. This was very much a different genre and equally as much a page turner.

There are some editing errors here or there (including accidentally switching a character’s name for two instances), so could use to be looked over by a professional editor when this book is picked up for a major publishing house’s publishing contract. But of course it will get one.

For a free Kindle selection, the story telling is fab! Strap in and prepare to have a page turner if you can even say you turn pages on an eReader.

Did not make it past the multiple rapes/abuse in the first three chapters. There is nothing to hook the reader into going even that far.
