What to do in between bikini waxes | Queen Bee Salon & Spa (2024)

It’s common for clients new to waxing to ask what they should do in between waxing sessions, so they don’t have to come in every two weeks for a bikini wax.

Not everybody’s growth cycle is the same, and just because your friend gets a good four weeks of smooth skin, sans hair, doesn’t mean to say you will get that same cycle.

We get that you might want to head to the beach or feel more smooth for an upcoming vacation, so therefore, the information and advice below are based on your hair type and growth cycles.

In a pinch, shave or use a depilatory cream. Yes, you read that right!

If you’ve been waxing for a long time and your hair grows back slowly with fine texture, go ahead and shave (in the same direction as the hair growth), or use a cream depilatory. Apply either of these methods just to the sides of your bikini line or just below your belly button – save everything else for your waxer; it will be safer.

If you have very coarse, stubbly hair from shaving, we recommend shaving only, as creams aren’t as efficient on shorter, more coarse hairs.

Tweeze me!

If you only have a handful of random hairs bothering you, go ahead and tweeze them out, but do so carefully! Our Queen Bee Pro Tweezers are designed to remove the most stubborn hairs.

Let’s keep it brief!

There are so many fabulous and fashionable options for beachwear and swimwear these days. There’s no shame in opting for boxer briefs if you feel like you’d rather not shave.

Are you feeling brave?

There are some at-home wax kits on the market, but before performing this service on yourself, you must know what you’re getting into. Incorrect techniques can result in skin bruising and broken hairs.

Sharing is caring, but taking somebody else's hard work, either whole or part, is plagiarism. Please do your own work well; you will learn so much more!
