How to win a US bank scholarship? ›

A recent study found that the program gives students more confidence and know of their finances. About 32,000 students registered for the second-half 2022 entry period of the scholarship program, completing nearly 100,200 financial education modules.

The U.S. Bank Student Scholarship Program is open to students who are at least 17 years or older and are enrolled as current undergraduate students (for at least 6 credit hours per semester). You must register and complete a series of online lessons in order to be considered for this award.

Learners with a 3.5 or higher GPA (17%) are the most likely to receive private scholarships, followed by those with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.4 (13.1%), 2.5 to 2.9 (10.4%), 2.0 to 2.4 (8.3%), and less than 2.0 (7%) (Kantrowitz, 2019).

The $25,000 “Be Bold” Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile. Students at any education level, state, field of study, and GPA will be considered.

If you've received scholarship funds that are greater than your cost of tuition and fees, oftentimes your college or university will send you a refund for the leftover money. Depending upon the terms of your scholarship, you can use these funds for another education-related expense.
