Does Flight Insure Plus provide protection throughout my trip?

While Flight Insure is a flight-only plan, Flight Insure Plus is a more robust travel insurance plan that provides continued coverage during your entire trip.

With Flight Insure Plus, you are eligible to receive emergency medical and dental services, as well as coverage for lost or delayed baggage.

Do I receive primary coverage on the Flight Insurance plans?

The Flight Insure Plus plan provides primary coverage with no deductibles. This means faster reimbursem*nt in the event of a claim. (Flight Insure does not include medical-related benefits, so primary coverage is not relevant to this plan.)

I have a pre-existing medical condition. Will I receive a pre-existing condition exclusion waiver with a Flight Insurance plan?

The Flight Insurance plans do not automatically include or provide upgrade options for a pre-existing medical condition exclusion waiver.

You are eligible to receive pre-existing medical condition exclusion waivers on the Travel America and Travel Select plans as long as you buy the plans within 3 days of final trip payment (Travel America) and 15 days of the initial trip payment (Travel Select).

Do I need to buy a Flight Insurance plan in addition to a Travel Basic or Travel Select plan?

No. A Flight Insurance plan does not need to be complemented by a Travel Basic or Travel Select plan. Each of these plans is tailored to offer different benefits depending on a traveler’s needs.

If you prefer coverage that begins the day after purchasing your policy and continues until you return home, Travel Select or Travel Basic can provide you with quality protection. If you’d rather only receive coverage for your flight or your flight plus medical expenses, consider either of the Flight Insurance plans.

It’s important to note that while Flight Insure and Flight Insure Plus provide flight-related travel insurance coverage, only the Travel Basic and Travel Select plans offer protection in the event your trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason.
