Cover for Covid-19 is included on all policies, here are the details:

If you contract Covid-19 abroad our policies provide the following cover:

  • if you, anyone insured on the policy, or a travel companion catch Covid-19 within 14 days of your trip starting.

Whether you are travelling with a pre existing medical condition or not, it is reassuring to know that help is at hand if you fall ill or have an accident in a foreign country.

What to do if you need medical treatment abroad

If you have an accident or fall ill whilst you are on holiday your priority should be to get to a local hospital or medical centre as soon as possible.

Remember, travel Insurance is not Private Medical Insurance, in that it only covers unavoidable, unexpected emergency treatment. You are not covered for private medical treatment if there are medically capable public facilities available.

In an emergency situation you should dial the local equivalent of 999 to get help straight away. (112 works throughout the EU).

For outpatient treatment you should ask your hotel reception or tour representative for details of the nearest public medical facility. If you are in doubt you can call our Emergency Medical Assistance Team for advice on where to seek treatment.

Once at a hospital or medical centre you should make contact with our Emergency Medical Assistance Team as soon you can. They will be able to confirm to the hospital that travel insurance cover is in place and liaise with doctors on your behalf to ensure that you get the most appropriate medical care.

The contact number for our Emergency Medical Assistance will be provided to you once you buy a travel insurance policy from us.

You should carry your travel insurance Emergency Medical Assistance number with you at all times whilst you are away.

" Great service. Certainly would recommend again. Brilliant service last year when hubby was in hospital. Kept in touch, they phoned me frequently. Very helpful even after we were back in the UK. Everything I would expect from a holiday insurance company, which is more than I could say for some other companies I've had to deal with."

March 2017

" I feel I must let you know about the exceptional care and support that Anna has shown to me during a most traumatic and distressing time involving the repatriation of my mother who passed away while we were on board a flight to Australia.

I do not know how I would have coped without hearing Anna's kind words of comfort and practical support. She has gone out of her way to assist me and she has made me feel that I am her number one priority when I know that in reality I am one of a number of people that she helps on a daily basis. She is even chasing-up a request to locate my lost luggage which speaks volumes for her commitment to help her clients."

January 2017

" Unfortunately my father passed away on holiday on Christmas day in Tenerife. As you can imagine at this very difficult time, your company was astounding with the service, help and advice given.

I made one phone call and from that point the repatriation service went smoothly and efficiently. Your company rang me back at the appointed time, every time, and made everything very easy for mum and myself.

It just goes to show that taking out good travel insurance is a must particularly in these circ*mstances.
Well done and once again THANK YOU"
