Yesterday US equity markets closed higher recouping a good portion of Tuesday’s selloff. Yields moved modestly lower as there were no major surprises in the economic data or in Fed Chair Powell’s testimony. Overnight Asian markets were mixed while markets in Europe rallied following the ECB rate decision. S&P futures were higher overnight and markets have extended to the upside since the open. The S&P 500 has hit another new all-time high but more notable the equal-weight version of the index hit a new all-time high for the first time since January of 2022. As we head to print, the S&P 500 is up 50pts to 5,155 (+1.0%), the Dow is up 150pts to 38,811 (+0.4%), while the Russell 2k is up 18pts to 2,086 (+0.9%).
