Stars can be obtained by spending Energy to play Levels in the game. Each level is made up of 5 Stars. On the first and fourth star a Clue will be found which progresses the story. In order to move through the levels Hidden Object scenes need to be played by spending energy. To be able to complete a Chapter and move on to the next, at least twenty stars are required and all 20 Clues need to be gathered.

Each time the player completes a Hidden Object scene they fill up the stars by a certain percentage based on their score. As the player progresses through the five stars of a level the scene become more difficult, e.g through an increase in the number of Hidden Objects that need to be found. With every star the points earned for finding an hidden object also increases. For every completed star the player receives a Star Box: for the first four stars the reward is a regular Star Box, for the fifth star it is a 5-Star Box.

Since the scenes in each star have different numbers of hidden objects that are worth different amounts of points, it varies how difficult getting a good score is. The lower the star the harder it is to get a high score and the higher the star gets the easier it will be to gain points.
