The best part of summer vacation is the longbreak from the studies. Last year I went to visit my grandparent’s place andstayed there for 15 days. When I returned back, I get myself enrolled in musicclasses.
My cousins joined me over there. My grandparent’s place is in the village area, the greenery around there is a specialty of the place. We wake up around 6 and joined my grandfather in a morning walk. A day started with a fresh morning breeze is like energy-boosting things for all kids. We enjoyed fresh farm fruits and hot Jalebis from the one of the famous sweet shop in the village.

After having breakfast, we went for watching birds on the minibus. The rest days were scheduled for Tiger Reserve, Elephant Park, and other wild animal views and so our mini-tour was over. We enjoyed a lot. I spent the rest of my vacation playing, watching TV, practicing music and I also tried my hands in cooking under the supervision of my mother. This year I completed my homework in just one week. I got a lot of time chasing my hobbies.

Last year I visited Jammu and Kashmir with my parents during my summer break. We have booked tickets and hotels two months earlier. It was a total of ten days trip. We reached Srinagar Airport at 1 PM, after an hour we finally reached our hotels. We were greeted with ‘Kahawa’ (Kashmir’s famous coffee). As we were tired of any sight visit we had lunch and went to the nearby market.
Shops were decorated with wooden antiques andKashmiri firans. We returned back at 9 after having dinner we went to attendthe bonfire event organized by hotel staffs. It was a fun event we playedbingo. The next morning we went to visit Gulmarg, the snowcapped mountains andthe beautiful scenic view of Kashmir is still refreshed in my eyes.
We played with snowballs and enjoyed ourselvesa lot. We stayed a total of 10 days in Kashmir; we visited Pahalgam, Sonmargaand spent 3 days in Shikara in Dull Lake. Staying in mid of the water for sucha long period was a totally new experience for me. The apple farms, saffrongarden, Shalimar and Nishat Gardens, and historical temples and castles weretelling the beauty and rich culture of Kashmir. I want to revisit Kashmiragain.
After returning from the Kashmir trip I got engaged in my summer vacation homework. I shared my travel experience with my friends and presented them with small gifts I have purchased for them from Kashmir.
