Sell Your Clutter One Room at a Time

You can probably find something to sell just about anywhere you look, but let’s streamline the process so you can take things slowly by looking one room at a time.

Your Kid’s Room

I find the easiest room to start with is my son’s room. It’s usually the most cluttered room and because he’s growing so fast, the room with the most outgrown things.

Here’s a list of some stuff from your kid’s room that you can sell to make money fast:

• Toys
• Books
• Clothes
• Outdated Decorations
• Outgrown Furniture

Depending on the age of your kids and how much you find in here, you could easily earn an extra $200 by selling the clutter in your kid’s room.

Your Bedroom

Because you’re in your own room so often, you’ve probably become blind to all the stuff around you. But there are several money-makers in this room too.

Check your room for the following things to sell:

If you’ve got a taste for fashion, you may make out like a bandit by reselling some of your less worn items.

You may not get much more than the satisfaction of a tidier area when you purge a lot of your old DVDs and CDs, but selling the storage units they were housed in may bring in a bit more money.

The Garage

I save the garage for last not because it’s the least valuable, but because if you’re anything like me, you have no idea what’s in there and the thought of sorting through it all makes you want to go back to bed.
