Another thing to keep in mind is that deer tend to scare easily. They don’t like unfamiliar things. In fact, they avoid anything that emits an unusual sound or has an unusual appearance. Adding decorations to your yard, such as sculptures or scarecrows, may keep them out, at least for a while. A sprinkler or light system that’s motion-activated can send them running as well.

An egg-water mixture can also be effective (mix 5 eggs with 5 quarts of water for enough solution to treat 1/4 acre).
