Non-binary (2024)

This category contains all the Squishmallows who officially use they/them pronouns, no pronouns, she/they pronouns, or he/they pronouns as established in their bios. Squishmallows has confirmed on Twitter that some 'Mallows are non-binary. (Tweet) The original tweet asking for confirmation from Squishmallows is currently unavailable, but an additional reply suggests that Squishmallows plans on making (or has already made) more non-binary 'Mallows. (Tweet 2)

Non-binary refers to any gender identity which falls outside of the gender binary (in other words, 'male' or 'female'). Technically all Squishmallows could be considered non-binary, as none have a specified gender identity. However, this category is for characters who are explicitly gender diverse.

Some Squishmallows in this category may also be considered to be genderfluid as they have an alternate edition of themselves that use a different name with different pronouns. Ashley, for example, goes by she/her pronouns, but is also named Gabe, who goes by he/him pronouns.
