Mediavine Income Report 2018 - 2020 • Money Dot Calm (2024)

For a long time I ran my small niche blog with the modest goal of making $500 per month.

As much as I loved blogging as a hobby, this was an amount I felt would justify the time and energy I was putting into it each week.

Certainly nothing to retire on, but enough to help put a dent into our ever-growing mountain of debt (you can read our full story here).

BUT…I just couldn’t get there.

After struggling for over 5 years with a combination of Adsense, Amazon CPM and various affiliate programs I was still only making $100-$200 per month.

And it made me want to quit (can you relate?).

My traffic was teetering around the 20,000 sessions per month range when I came across an income report from a blogger with Mediavine. It was clearly working well for them, but I was skeptical….would my equestrian niche blog fit the bill?

I decided to buckle down and focus on traffic growth to increase my monthly sessions. Not only did this get me to 25,000 (the minimum requirement) in just 2 months, but it was also a great lesson in goal setting!

Getting accepted and set up with Mediavine was an easy process, even with my lack of tech skills, and then I anxiously sat back to see the results.

And here they are!
