How to Make Money with Affiliate Marketing

If you’re reading this review, you probably want to make money with affiliate marketing and are either new to affiliate marketing or want to increase your affiliate sales.

I came across Michelle Schroeder-Gardner’sMaking Sense of Affiliate Marketingcourse by finding some of her income reports on Pinterest.

Michelle mentions in those reports that she is consistently making$50,000 a monthfrom affiliate marketing alone. Her latest income reports are now showing a regular income of$100,00 a month!

That sure picked my interest and I wanted to find out how she’s doing it! And she’s not the only one making this kind of money from affiliate marketing.

Michelle can travel full-time because of the flexibility of affiliate marketing.

I am making good money with affiliate marketing myself but not close to the kind of affiliate money Michelle is making.

I bought her course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing because I was intrigued by her income reports and wanted to make my affiliate income more consistent.

The best way to learn something is by learning from someone who is successful doing it

And I definitely wanted to learn from Michelle who has beenconsistentlymaking $50,000+ a month (she is now making $100,000+ a month) from affiliate marketing. And her course definitely pinpointed several areas I can improve on!

At first, I scanned through the course and read a few pages here and there. But the importance of some of the information didn’t sink in until I re-read some chapters more slowly.

I got the course recently and have just started implementing a few strategies from the course. Some small changes on some of my blog pages I’ve implemented from Michelle’s course have already increased my affiliate conversions.

New affiliates can learn to do things correctly from the start when learning from Michelle. Having been an affiliate marketer for years, I didn’t know if this course would help me. But it has.

Taking this course reminded me of some of the affiliate marketing techniques I knew about but had not implemented. It has also given me some additional affiliate strategies I will use. But mostly, it’s making me do some of the things I was already doing much better.

For example, the blog worksheet is helping me write more valuable blog posts. I’m going back to some of my blog posts and I am gradually improving them. I’m also adding additional content that Michelle recommends including.

I love the worksheets and they are helping me become more structured. I used Michelle’s review worksheet to write this review.

Michelle’s course is based on solid Internet marketing strategies. It can greatly benefit new affiliate marketers and bloggers.

What’s included in this awesome course
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing

Here’s a partial list of what’s included inMaking Sense of AffiliateMarketing. You can find the full class curriculum on Michelle’s website so I don’t want to repeat it here. Below are just some of my comments.

The first 2 modules

The first 2 modules provide basic information to help new affiliates get started in affiliate marketing such as how affiliate marketing links work and how to find suitable affiliate programs and apply to them.

  • It includes 80+ affiliate program ideas for different niches. New affiliates will be surprised about the many niches and products they can choose to promote.
  • You’ll also get a worksheet to help you compile a list of affiliate programs you may want to promote.
  • I like the worksheet that helps you brainstorm and determine what your audience wants. Too many people don’t focus enough on what people want. Finding out what people want (instead of what you want to promote) is an essential part of being successful in affiliate marketing. Make sure to keep that in mind when choosingproducts to promote.

The brainstorming worksheet is a great tool to keep you focused on what readers want. Michelle helps you focus on important things like that. Even experienced affiliates can benefit from that.

Module 3

Module 3 covers some up-to-date legalitiesyou need to know and how to disclose your affiliate links legally.

The next couple of modules provide the most valuable information for people who have been in the affiliate marketing field for a while.

Module 4: How To Get Your Readers To Convert

  • This information is very valuable and will help you greatly in getting affiliate sales. It provides solid strategies to build trust, increase conversions, and become successful at affiliate marketing.
  • “Improving Your Top 10” was very useful to me and the first thing I implemented.

Module 5: Strategies and Ways To Promote Affiliate Links

  • This powerful module gets into different strategies you can use to promote affiliate products. It also includes a strategies worksheet.
  • In addition to strategies to improve your blog posts, it also gets into getting traffic from social media and provides useful Pinterest strategies.
  • For example, many affiliates provide reviews on their blog but Michelle breaks up reviews in different elements and makes sure you’re not missing any parts. This has definitely helped me improve my reviews.
  • How I’ve Earned Over $500,000 From One Affiliate Product. This was very eye-opening to me and has changed the way I’m creating new blog posts.

Module 6: Rinse and Repeat

  • This module helps you maintain your affiliate marketing strategies, keep your affiliate success long-lasting, and track the progress of your affiliate income.
  • It also mentions what you should NOT do(My comment: This is as important as the things you should do).

My comments:

  • The bonuses provided some of the most valuable information for me.“How to Always Get Approved by Affiliate Programs”is very useful.
  • I love the worksheets and checklists. One small negative: I wish they were provided in a Word or text file because I like to fill in my worksheets on the computer. But that’s just me. Many people will probably want to fill in the worksheets by hand.
  • This course is mostly text. Personally, I like that. But some people may prefer watching videos. Text is a lot easier to scan through and I can go right away to the info I’m looking for instead of trying to find a piece of information on a video.

But including a few short videos would have helped demonstrate a few technical aspects of affiliate marketing. For example, it would help new affiliates to see how to generate some affiliate links at a couple of affiliate networks. Michelle does include screen pictures to demonstrate some techniques like how to find affiliate links and examples of deep linking.

The information is very clear, the techniques are well explained and the course provides a lot of great information.

I also believe that the strategies covered in this course are more important than focusing on some technical aspects that change regularly.

And there is more …

  • You can join theprivate Facebook Mastermind Groupwhere you can connect with other bloggers, ask questions and network. This alone is worth the price of the course.

I love the information from the special guests

  • I loved the Pinterest strategies video on how to drive traffic to your blog from a Pinterest expert who has 3-4 million monthly views on Pinterest, including what to do when a pin goes viral, how to increase page views, and more.
  • A guest shares how to ensure you are always accepted into affiliate programs. I found this information highly valuable.
  • Another guest talks about Facebook ads.
  • The editing and writing strategies from an editor are unique and valuable.

What I like best about Michelle’s course:

  • It showed me new ways to promote affiliate programs.
  • It has helped me write better-converting posts.
  • I learned some new valuable information on how to use Pinterest for affiliate marketing.
  • And most of all, I love the worksheets. I found the worksheets super helpful. I use them when creating posts. It helps me streamline everything – from keeping track of the affiliate programs I’m promoting – to writing blog posts – and to implementing my Pinterest strategies.

The course is well written and well organized. In fact, I found it so easy to read that I read it too fast the first time and missed some important points. Now, I’m going back to it regularly and rereading one chapter at a time, taking notes, and implementing some of the techniques.

I have been in affiliate marketing for a long time. A lot of the information was not new to me, but the course still helped me improve my marketing strategies and my affiliate sales have already increased from implementing just a few of the techniques.

I’m referring back to the course regularly to make sure I don’t overlook some important affiliate marketing strategies I had forgotten about – and others I never implemented.

Michelle’s course has helped me streamline my affiliate promotions. I got into the habit of doing things a certain way. There were also things I should be doing that I didn't do. So, it was helpful for me to take her course, get some new perspectives and find out what works best today.

Conclusion

I feel that the course is best suited for people who are new to affiliate marketing. This course is written in easy-to-understand, non-technical terms.

Learning from someone who is successful is the best way to learn. If you want to get the results you want from affiliate marketing, learn from a pro like Michelle who is making $50,000+ every month from affiliate marketing.

If you’ve tried affiliate marketing but aren’t making as much as you would like to, learn from someone who’s successful at affiliate marketing like Michelle and grabher course.

I’m not saying that you’ll make $50,000 a month as Michele does. Of course, not everyone will. But that is the real potential of affiliate marketing. Many people make a lot less. And some people make more than Michele.
