Leaving a Stressful Job to Trade Options Full Time Getting Started Guide Ep 51 - Tradersfly (2024)

Today’s question is all about getting started with trading options and leaving your stressful full-time jobs.

I’m going to pinpoint and show you a few resources where you can get started and get some useful information to think about as you start your journey.

It’s not going to give you everything, but It’ll give you some starting points to where you can go and things to consider.

Here’s the question:

“Hi Sasha, my name is Robbie, and I am 42 years old. I was searching online to learn about trading options, and I learned about this from a friend of mine. I don’t know if I can call a friend. But he’s making good money. He showed me his trade and how much he makes. It was impressive.

He made about $200,000 in less than six months. I have a full-time job, and I’m tired of it. I want to live life abundantly, as you mentioned all the time.

And I’d like to do something for myself. I’m tired of working 12 hours every day, 6 days a week. It is very stressful.

I’m looking for the opportunity to make money and take care of my health at the same time. By far, you’re the most logic professor. I like the way how you break down the information. It is very easy to understand.

I need your help, please. I am clueless about trading. Assume that I don’t know anything at all. I need to know from A to Z.

Thank you?”

It’s difficult to give a full spectrum (A to Z) in a single video. I want to share with you some points. I can relate to the stressful jobs and things like that. It’s tough.

I hear a lot of these stories. I’ll give you some starting points of where to start with. But remember, there are always trade-offs in life. If you spend a lot of time in school and you go to college, you get a Ph.D. and master’s; you spent all this extra time, money, and energy to get this work.

But now you can reap the rewards later on with maybe a better job. Perhaps a higher pay job. Options trading and trading stocks is no different. You might invest in your education by watching a lot of free content, material, but all of a sudden, it takes you a lot longer.

That’s because you have to hunt and find the information. You’re going to be seeing ads on YouTube. Information is not compressed. Sometimes spending a little bit more on your education can accelerate those things. You have to balance and ask yourself if this makes more sense for me to spend more money to get to my destination faster. Or do I want to save the money on education and then go through the free materials?

And that’s, of course, your personal choice. I’ll share with you a few resources from my websites. Here we have our tradersfly.com website. You can go and take a look at the start page.

This website is getting reworks, so pretty soon, we’re going to have even more getting started choices for you. But here are some things to watch.

There are:

  • the introduction videos
  • some books that you should read
  • practicing technical analysis
  • video courses
  • private coaching
  • brokers

In order to trade, you’re going to need a broker. That’s somebody that puts in your trade and execute an order. The brokerage platform is going to look something like this.

It makes things easy. If I want to buy a few shares of Pepsi, I can right-click and buy. Confirm and send my order. And then it would go through. I could do the same thing here with options. There are option grids.

All these things allow you to see a wide range of things and allows you to do a lot of different things.

Beyond this, of course, you can go into coaching. I have choices here if you want to do a one-on-one session. Sometimes we do plans, getting started plans, videos you should watch, things to consider, brokers that are the right fit for you. In that case, we go in detail and talk about what is it that you need.

Ready for coaching on the stock market? >>> Take one-on-one session now!

We discuss what you’re trying to do. What’s your experience. Are you trying to go through some courses, or you want to do a lot of free material as the most cost-effective as possible?

Sometimes booking a session like this (even though it cost a little bit of money) may work out in your favor. That’s because then you might not need to buy a ton of courses.

That way, we can craft a plan. If you want to go through courses, sometimes that can get even more detailed than what we can do with free videos.

Take a look at our other website rise2learn.com which has all our courses. A lot of times, these courses go in a lot of detail. For example, I’ll show you courses are very detailed on a per hour basis.

It might be less than $20 per hour on some of them per training time. And if you take a look at, let’s say our options mastery verticals course here is what you get.

Take a look at Options Mastery #2: Business of Options & Verticals!

This course is $599, it’s 35 videos, but it’s 22 hours long. When you break it down on a per hour, it’s pretty good. And when you go through these courses, you get a discount on a coaching session if that’s what you’re interested in.

You can combine a course with a coaching session, and that way you save a bit of money.

Can you learn a lot of stuff online free?

Yeah, you can. But it’s tough sometimes to put the puzzle pieces together.

There are also memberships out there. We also have memberships – members.tradersfly.com

You can go into our TradersFly website right here, and you go to our member’s area.

We have swing charts where we analyze the market. We have picture charts – these are the technical analysis charts where we take a look at pretty much annotated charts by the picture.

If you’re trying to practice technical analysis, these are good things. Slowly we’re going to evolve small-cap stock reviews and option trading ideas and group coaching as well.

This might be something to consider in the future. It could be for a couple of months. Some people do it for a handful of years. It just depends on what you’re looking to craft and how you learn better.

Then we also have this docs.rise2learn.com

Here we even have some getting started material.

Getting started: Trading and Investing

Options Trading: Which option trading course should I start with?

There’s a lot of ways to learn.

You can learn from books. You can learn through video courses. You can learn by coaching.

Obviously, when you go with something completely free, it’s very cheap on your education, but it might cost you more on the experience.

I’ve written a handful of books here.

Book Section >>> Take a look at our Book Library!

If you’re trying to learn trading options through books is quite tricky.

You’ll want to find books that talk about strategy. And then pair it with a video course. A lot of people when they’re building their education they’ll typically take a course. Then you might practice a little bit on a trading panel. Then you’ll pair it with a coaching session.

Then you might start combining strategies. And then you’ll put the puzzle pieces in there.

Just like if you’re going to become an electrician, you don’t just go and start doing wires. You don’t start manipulating your circuit breaker box. Instead, what you need to do is probably going to study or work with someone. It doesn’t matter if you pay an electrician to show you how to do things or you go to school.

In the end, education costs time, money, and energy. These are the resources we have, and it’s a balance between how much do you want to learn for free and how much do you want to spend on your education.

If you go to trade school, you’ll learn it a lot quicker, but it’ll be a little bit more expensive. And it’s no different when it comes to stock trading.

I would say these are a few starting places for you. You could hunts and finds on YouTube and articles and go there, but I think we have a lot of actually free resources just on our websites.

Depending on your plan or path which you have in store for yourself, that’s the direction you want to go.

Here you’ve seen great available resources. Use them and make the most of them and make them your own. And then see where it is that makes the most sense for you to continue to evolve and grow as a trader.

I hope this was helpful. I can’t give you an exact path to start with because everybody’s a little different.

Reach out and invest in a book or a coaching session. It might be the best few hundred bucks that you spend. That way, we can create a custom plan specifically for your needs.
