Detailed understanding of and experience with the intricacies of the US markets and regulatory requirements

Triparty repo working knowledge

Strength and demonstrable knowledge of non dollar financing markets

Responsibilities for junior trader

• Daily risk and P&L reporting to support areas and senior management
• Accepting client and interbank transactions, booking trades and making sure those accurately reflect the risks undertaken by the trader/desk
• Managing short dated cash balances (for the deliverable currencies, especially MXN)
• Supporting trader(s) when managing fixing risks for the NDF currencies and crosses (mainly BRL, CLP, COP, PEN and ARS)
• Facilitating the communication between the different trading desks and also between trading and sales
• Daily control and monitoring of complete deal set including active positions and associated equity portfolio exposures
• Contribute to the growth of the business via the identification of new trade opportunities and counterparties
• Monitoring and managing risks within the business, including liquidity and credit risks around inventory settlement and trade life cycle
• Providing top quality service to internal clients by optimising their funding outcomes and maximising savings on SBL and collateral costs
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and competitive pricing to enhance the Bank’s profile within the market place and amongst our client base

Qualifications for junior trader

• Capacity to make rapid decisions and perform under pressure
• Frugal and resilient business builder with a minimum of 3 to 5 years US equity finance experience
• Knowledge of equity finance related markets (such as warrants, prime broking, index arbitrage, loans and deposits, FX and interest rate forwards and swaps) is advantageous
• The ability to cooperate and work effectively in a team environment
• Tertiary (or post tertiary) qualifications in Engineering, Maths, Finance
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a trading role

Responsibilities for junior trader

• Maximum 3 years banking experience
• Graduate trainee level role within the Guernsey based Trading Room to assist with operating the treasury, securities finance and repo books, employing funds within authorized limits
• A good understanding of Equity and/or Fixed Income markets
• A knowledge of Equity Products
• A good understanding of Derivatives
• Able to perform in a pressured environment

• As part of Structured Products Trading, you’ll be exposed to structured interest rates and inflation products via the offering of combination products joining the two asset classes with structured credit products
• Technical understanding of Brazilian fixed income markets such as bd/252 day count convention, IR swaps and NDF pricing using onshore curves traded on the local exchange (BM&F)
• Ability to use tools for building/extrapolating zero interest curves given market inputs under different methodologies (linear, flat forward, spline, etc)
