Egg shells
That lizard behind your cupboard might not like those omelettes as much as you do. Well, if not the eggs, then its shells at least.
It's a known fact that lizards aren't fond of the odour egg shells give out.
Garlic
Hanging garlic cloves around the doors and windows of your house will repel lizards and will hence keep them from entering your space.
Cold water
Why do you think you don't spot lizards during winters? Well, it's because much like some of you, lizards too don't like the concept of 'no heat'. Belonging to the cold-blooded category of creatures, lizards and low temperatures don't get along too well. So, if you want to ward off lizards, it's time to ensure that you make it inhabitable for them.

Naphthalene balls
Yes, apart from keeping away small insects and pests, naphthalene balls also have the quality of keeping away lizards. The peculiar smell of naphthalene balls will distract and ultimately repel lizards.
Coffee powder
That cup of coffee might be extremely dear to you, but when it comes to lizards, the picture is a little different. A mixture of coffee powder and tobacco powder can be turned into balls, which when consumed by lizards can result in their death.
