How to Hang a Wreath Two Ways (2024)

By west-coast-gardens

Once you've chosen a festive wreath for your door this Christmas, you have to decide how you're going to hang it! We've got two easy solutions for you, both of which will leave you with a beautiful front door wreath without any damage to the front of your door!

-

1. Hang your wreath with ribbon - Measure how much ribbon you'll need, from the top of the door, to where you want the top of the wreath to be. Then cut double that amount. Loop the ribbon through the back of the wire wreath (or around the wreath's entire girth) then secure the top of the ribbon to the top edge of the door with staples. Fold the ribbon over a couple times at the top, to give your staples a more secure hold on the ribbon.

-

2. Hang your wreath with command hooks - Command hooks offer strong adhesion without any damage to your door. Always read and follow the instructions on the back of the package. Measure to find the middle of the door, and place a hook at the height you want your wreath to hang. Hook the back wire of your wreath on to the command hook. You can add another hook onto the bottom of the wreath, and secure it to the door, for added strength!

Have a very merry Christmas, from all of us at West Coast Gardens!!
