Jessica Atkins shows us a quick and easy way to attach a ribbon to your cake for an elegant finish.
First, measure how big you need your ribbon to be and cut.
Have your ribbon overlap and fix seams to the back of the cake.
Use the flame of a lighter or candle and carefully seal the edges of the ribbon to prevent them from fraying.
Jessica says:
Create a professional finish to your cake using only a ribbon and small piece of Pettinice.
Roll two small pieces of fondant.
Using a small dot of water, attach the first piece to the back of the cake.
Wrap the ribbon around the cake, and using a small dot of water place the second piece of fondant on top so you can adhere the ribbon together.
Press until flat.
