This chamomile milk tea with honey, and cinnamon powder is a simple drink you can add to your nightly routine to wind down and end the day on a positive note.
When you’ve had a long day, sometimes something as simple as a warm drink to unwind in the evening can soothe any frustrations. This chamomile tea latte with honey and cinnamon is a perfectoption in those moments, and can be something you look forward to any night of the week (especially since it’s caffeine-free!).
Can you Put Milk in Chamomile Tea
Yes! By using milk instead of water as your base, the flavors from the tea steep into the milk and provide that flavorful chamomile tea latte. Instead of just sipping on tea, you will be enjoying a simple evening snack since the milk provides protein and carbohydrates.
This can help keep you satisfied until the morning, which can also contribute to your weight loss efforts. What a simple way to both monitor your hunger and help meet your key nutrient targets!
How to Make a Honey Chamomile Milk Latte
Making a chamomile milk latte is a lot simpler than you may think. No fancy tools required! All you need is a saucepan and a mug, in addition to your ingredients. Once you heat up your milk on the stovetop, steep your chamomile tea bags in the milk for around 8 minutes, add your dash of honey and cinnamon, and voila!
Does Warm Milk Help You Sleep?
You may have heard this tale when you were younger. There is actually some evidence that drinking warm milk with honey before bed can help you sleep. One of the proposed reasons for this is that milk contains tryptophan, which plays a role in melatonin production.
Pair this with the popular chamomile tea to help promote sleep, and you have yourself a calming and relaxing drink to enjoy as you wind down from your day.
