"Probably the best wood oil in the world"

INTERBUILD Zero% VOC Hardwaxoil - Approved for Contact with Food stuff - Certified Climate / Carbon Neutral

UNIQUE wood oil

As far as we know of, there is no oil with features like ours in the World.

By using our oils, you are contributing to reducing the Greenhouse Effect compared to when using other solvent based oils.

TIPS when used for OUTDOOR furniture

Store furniture indoors over the winter or cover with a plastic cover

To remove algae and fungus, use a hard brush and water! When the surface is dry, sand with fine sandpaper, wipe off dust with a very slightly damp cloth and apply a layer of hard wax oil. Repeat oiling one day later.

Maintenance with a new layer, once or twice per season

For trolleys and trolley windows that stay out over the winter, cleaning and oiling should be done both at the beginning and at the end of the season. Remove autumn leaves before snowfall!

USE OF HARD WAX OIL

Our hard wax oil is a mixture of pure vegetable oils and waxes cooked together at high temperature to produce a micromolecular oil that penetrates well into the wood and leaves a wax film on top, which gives an exceptionally smooth, water-repellent and durable surface.

Before treating all wood including cutting boards, furniture, floors etc .:

1.Make sure the wood is dry

2. Polish the wood lightly with fine sandpaper

3.Wipe off dust with a slightly damp cloth

4.Oil the product abundantly with oil, after a few minutes, wipe off excess oil and spread it well with a clean cloth.

5.Oil the short ends of the wood abundantly several times as this is where the wood sucks most through the capillaries in the end wood.

6. Put used cloth in a jar with water after use as there is a minimal risk that it may ignite spontaneously

7.Repeat the procedure the next day if the surface has absorbed a lot of oil and feels dry.

Apply the oil at room temperature (10-35 ° C). The oil is ready to apply to products as it is. Do not mix in any thinner and possibly apply several coats to build a thicker finish if desired.

Our hard wax oil contains ZERO% VOC, which means that 100% of what is in the jar will remain on the wooden surface you treat as protection.

About consumption and price comparison for oiled surfaces

You can never compare the price per liter for wood oils, as most other oils are sold with a mixture of 40-60% of cheap thinner / solvent (VOC) that will evaporate into the air after application. This means that only 60-40% of what you then buy will remain on the surface as protection. Unfortunately, this evaporation of volatile organic compounds (thinner) contributes to climate change. For our hard wax oil, no evaporation takes place as we do not mix in any solvents! (VOC = Volatile Organic Compound)

For wood oils, you should instead compare the price per m2 of the same quality protection. That is, you may need to buy 3 times the volume of oil from others to get the same coverage of real oils / waxes as with our oil. Our Hardwax oil covers up to 40 m2 per liter for 1 layer, 1 can 250 ml covers 8-10m2 which is very unique. Comparing consumption in this way makes our oil very affordable.

Much appreciated also for industrial use where workers normally go home with headaches after inhaling thinner all day. Not so when using our VOC-free hard wax oil. Our oil is so pure and free of toxic and chemical components that we are not required to produce a safety data sheet (MSDS) by law. Despite this, we have done one for those who are in doubt, which you can find at www.interbuild.eu/hardwaxoil/ where you will find the presence of solvents according to section 3 for ingredients. We have none that you can see. We also do not have any red WARNING symbols on our cans as they are not needed either, as listed in section 14.

Our hard wax oil is tested and approved for contact with food according to US FDA 21 CFR 175,300. All dyes used in our ZERO% VOC hard wax oils are certified non-toxic, according to EN71-P3 and REACH. We know of no other manufacturer that can boast of the properties of our oil, which is why we proudly say "Probably the best wood oil in the world"!

But the story then ????

Well, about 15 years ago we bought a container with a newly developed garden furniture series from a manufacturer in Southeast Asia which, it would turn out, was not to be trusted. The container reached our customer who called and said: Fantastic furniture, beautiful BUT, a group that has been out in the rain for 3 days no longer has any oil left.

We dug deeper into this and it turned out that the unreliable manufacturer had partly used some bad local oil and mixed it with diesel and also bribed up our technician who discovered it all, in order to be able to release the container.

We then decided that we had to develop our own oil and set up what requirements we had and mixed lots with different ingredients of different oils and waxes until we were satisfied. Since then, all the factories that produce for us have had to use this oil and we have never had any problems with this since. This oil has been used for the last 15 years on all products we make, such as countertops, furniture, cutting boards, wall panels, floors, etc. in all woods we make.

For 3 years seeThen we felt the pressure from Retailers that they had customers who wanted to buy our outstanding oil and we then started with this consumer packaging. Today, it is sold at major world players such as Home Depot in the US and Canada, Walmart, Bunnings in Australia, Home Hardware, Tractor Supplies in Canada, on 11 Amazon platforms in different parts of the world, etc.
