Genshin Impact's combat system relies on using four different characters and combining their elements in order to trigger various elemental reactions. With the recent introduction of the new Dendro element, developer HoYoverse has introduced a number of new elemental reactions to the game.
These new additions have allowed players to be much more creative when it comes to choosing the right team composition. A new post on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subReddit shows a video featuring one of the new characters that should arrive in the upcoming update.

A popular leaker named Plusle has shared a video revealing Nilou's potential in a team composition that relies on a new Genshin Impact elemental reaction named Bloom. In order to trigger Bloom, players have to apply Hydro and Dendro on the same target which will drop a core that explodes after six seconds dealing AoE Dendro damage in a large radius to enemies and players. At the moment, the game allows players to have only five Dendro Cores on the field. The team composition is made of two Dendro characters, Collei and Traveler, and two Hydro characters, Nilou and Kokomi.
The video shows why Nilou's play style should revolve around triggering Bloom. One of her passive talents, Court of Dancing Petals, will create Bountiful Cores instead of Dendro Cores when Bloom is triggered. These cores will explore much faster, and they have a larger area of effect which significantly increases the team's damage potential. Bountiful Cores are also unable to trigger other elemental reactions like Burgeon or Hyperbloom which means that the elemental reaction cannot be interfered by other elements.
The passive will also grant a special buff named Golden Chalice's Bounty which increases the party's Elemental Mastery by 60 for 10 seconds whenever they are hit by some type of Dendro-infused attacks. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that Nilou will be a must-have for every player that wants their team composition to revolve around Bloom. The video also confirms that Nilou does not have to be on the field in order to reach her full damage potential.
All players have to do is activate Nilou's Elemental Burst and Skill before swapping to another Hydro character which in this case was Kokomi and wait for Nilou's cooldowns to refresh. However, players have to make sure that they have constant Dendro application on the field which can be accomplished with Collei and the new version of the Traveler.
Genshin Impact is now available on mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
