Sydney mother and financial advisor Canna Campbell, 35, recently made it her mission to change the financial outlook of young Australians.
Starting a YouTube channel,Sugar Mamma, to show women that it is possible to become financially secure and still enjoy luxury things, Campbell has now released a video just for teenagers.
Titled 'Top Tips for Teenagers! Sugar Mamma style!', Ms Campbell reveals what she believes to be the most important financial tips young Australians need to know to be comfortable later in life.

The first tip, 'black is always in fashion' is about teenagers avoiding debt as much as possible.
'If you want to buy something you can't afford, look into lay buying or save for it earlier,' Ms Campbell said.

Ms Campbell touches on superannuation in her second piece of advice, saying that although it may sound 'really dull and boring talking about superannuation when you can't touch it', it's the most 'valuable and powerful' source of wealth.

Ms Campbell also advises teenagers to start investing early to make the most of the power of compounding interest, and learn how to budget even though it's the 'second most boring word'.
'Those top four tips, if you can learn how to master them, I promise you will never regret them,' Ms Campbell said.
Canna Campbell has worked as a financial adviser for 13 years, and started her YouTube channel in January.
She has since earned herself close to 10,000 followers on Instagram thanks to her refreshing perspective on finance and polished presentation.

‘I did it for fun initially because I noticed a huge gap in the market of young people who were quietly motivated to learn about money and investing, but completely overwhelmed and intimidated by the whole idea of seeing a financial adviser,’ Ms Campbell told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I wanted to show that money is not a taboo subject and to talk about it in an exciting, empowering and liberating way so people can see that financial independence and security is actually realistic.’
Ms Campbell, who has so far posted over 20 videos on financial advice, improvement and investing, has earned herself a strong fan base due to her non-traditional approach.

‘I’m a female who started investing young who loves and is really interested in fashion,’ Ms Campbell said.
‘I appreciate beautiful things, love to travel and have a soft spot for luxury purchases so I understand the temptations and desires as well as all the fears people have.’
Receiving over 100 emails a day, Ms Campbell is excited to inspire people to start building an income early in life, rather than relying solely on a job.

‘One of my main projects is all about building a passive income and not being reliant on a salary to live and being able to support yourself financially without working,’ Ms Campbell said.

With the money saved through passive income, Ms Campbell will show people how to turn $1,000 into an investment portfolio that can pay for a Chanel handbag every year.
