Elden Ring is a massive game filled with hours of content, but the critical path is relatively short. It’s even possible to complete Elden Ring in less than 25 minutes, although users playing for the first time will take a lot longer. Most of the content in the game is optional, and players will come across the most challenging bosses in any From Software game in these optional areas.

Aside from the main quest, Elden Ring has several side quests that tell the story of its many NPCs. Like the Souls games, it’s possible to miss out on these quest chains depending on how far players have progressed. They can also kill most of the NPCs without even starting their questline. This feature is mainly used if someone wants a particular weapon dropped by that NPC, and it’s rare for users to kill them by accident. However, an Elden Ring player managed to achieve that by accidentally jumping on an NPC.

A user named Flashypenguin0 uploads a clip from a late-game area in Elden Ring featuring the NPC Millicent. Flashypenguin0 casually explores the area and accidentally jumps on Millicent, killing her. She says that she did not imagine things ending this way and will not forget what Flashypenguin0 did to her. For their efforts, they get an Unalloyed Gold Needle, a key item that can influence the ending of Elden Ring. Judging by the name of the post, Flashypenguin0 is shocked at the game allowing Millicent to die in this fashion.

The comment section is filled with other players sharing stories of how they too accidentally attacked or killed an NPC. Juicejuicee, on the other hand, intentionally killed Millicent to get the Millicent's Prosthesis talisman. Other users are discussing the sheer amount of content in Elden Ring and how they find clips of things they have not seen before every time they go online.

It also looked like the user was at the end of Millicent’s questline, which is one of the longest quests in the whole game that takes place across multiple regions. Several users have also reported accidentally killing Millicent by jumping on her, so Flashypenguin0 is not alone in this. While players can bring back some dead NPCs in Elden Ring, it’s reportedly not possible to revive Millicent after this point. Those interested in starting her questline should journey to the Church of the Plague in the Caelid region.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
